  1. It would be a good match up but at 155 you would have to favour Penn. It would be great to see at a catch weight and I think then that GSP would take it

  2. GSP walks around 195. 155 is a no-go for GSP.

  3. HE WOULD SMOKE HIM OUT OF THE JOINT--SPIDER WENT UP TO LGHTHVY SO HE DOESNT HAVE TO FACE GSP--

  4. i think penn will take it on the rematch, no matter what weight it's at.

  5. he would maul him

  6. Yeah, definitely. He already did it once, even if it was at welterweight. If Rush dropped the weight, it could go either way. Right now, I would favor BJ because he is looking like no other right now, he's finally focused and not wasting his talent. We'll see though. I'll be interested to see how Fitch does against GSP.

  7. i think a wieght drop would affect gsp enough to make Bj penn win

  8. yeah that would be cool

  9. i think he can beat BJ penn even if it was a fight at 205...GSP is more effective overall and has better cardio and i'll bet my life savings on it.

  10. i dont think GSP could could drop down to 155 thats jus way to much weight. They wont fight in lightweight division i garuntee it but welterweight is a definately maybe  i've heard rumors of a new years eve fight but thats if GSP beats jon fitch and Bj beats the winner of florian vs huerta

I would giv the victory to probaly bj penn he is amazing but it would be a very close fight

  11. he struggled to beat him when tehy fought at 170 so id say no. and i also belive that when they eventually do fight at 170 again(next year some time) b.j wil win.

  12. gsp would beat penn, no doubt about it because "their is no one in dis division dat could handle his riddum"

  13. GSP is too big to drop down to 155lbs.  However, BJ could move up to 170 for a rematch against GSP.  If you seen the first time they fought, Penn dominated GSP in the first round and then gassed in the 2nd.  It still went to a decision.  Now that Penn is taking training seriously and his cardio is where it should be, he would be the favorite to win.  BJ Penn is a freak.  GSP is a great athlete, but his strength is his wrestling and in the first fight he struggled to take down a tired BJ Penn.  GSP's submissions are good, but no where near BJ's.  BJ would dominate the standup too.  Winner at 170lbs--BJ Penn!  FYI--GSP walks around at 200lbs.  No Way he could make 155!  He is a HUGE welterweight!

  14. GSP cuts A LOT of weight to be at 170.  I doubt he can cut any more than that.  BJ also cuts a c**p load of weight to be at 155.  So, cutting weight for BJ to be at 170 will be easier (and possible) than for GSP to become light weight.  As for who will win, it all comes down to their game plan.  Both are versatile and really well-rounded fighters.  So, it all comes down to their mental focus and strategy.  On paper, it seems like GSP will have an advantage.  But, who knows?
