  1. He's certainly improved over the year... but he's not a patch on his own veteran teammate yet, though his Hungary result was on merit...

I don't see him being Champion no... but he could be a race win contender if Toyota continue their good progress... but I think we should see more of him throughout the year... because we haven't seen much of him in different situations... to see where his strengths are.. he's been a solid midfield runner, who's taken advantage of a good set-up and some good form to get a great result last week...

  2. would u say nelsinho piquet will be the world champion in 2010????....just due to his 2nd place at hockenheim???!!!.....not really.....nor would hence Glock be said tht he could win an world championship in 2010..........he just turned luck .......thts it he didnt fight for it really.....a driver deserves his position....only if he has literally fought for it and during the race overtook couple of cars.....and a driver on podium deserves it if he was actually pushing and/or closing in on the race leader or 2nd place man(depending on his position)...but tht wasnt the case with glock.....(and also nt with kimi)....he just got it due to Lewis's puncture and Felipe's engine blow-up.....also he didnt do some impressive driving to keep kimi at bay....rather kimi himself backed off(as he knew abt felipe's engine failiur..and another ferrari engine of adrian sutil too had blown up...nw ferrari didnt wanted to take a chance)....and he has hardly impressed at least me so tht i could say he may contend for championship in 2010...............

and  i dont find him going into ferrari either(no chance).....Ferrari most probably go in for Sebastine vettel(am sure it would be vettel)....Alonso is another most probable....but thats if he doesnt find a good tem in Honda(seehttp://formularacin.blogspot.com/2008/08... )....and i dont find Glock really on Ferrari's radar..............he would be i think with Toyota for long time .....like trulli......

  3. Glock and Toyota were very lucky in Hungary. He has been generally beaten by Trulli everywhere, which is not a good thing for him.

  4. This was his only performance this year worth talking about.

So that's exactly as many as Sutil.

I wouldn't mind seeing it happen but it doesn't look likely to put it that way.

  5. He drove very well but unless Ferrari panic buy a driver like Glock he will struggle to win a race, let alone become a champion.

He is good, not great, deserves another year at Toyota, still 2 good races out of 11, hardly spectacular ( not including Germany which was going well till the car failed).

  6. I haven't changed my mind, and Glock going to Ferrari would only be a little bit more likely than his becoming champion.

He got lucky in Hungary: he made up 3 places from his qualifying position because 3 drivers who qualified ahead of him had big problems, and he only hung on to 2nd place because Raikkonen had trouble late on. No shame in that, but it's not really grounds for Ferrari to look at him either.

  7. Not happening. I think rosbif and Derek Smith got it exactly right in the old question.

  8. definatley the glock is a great brand for guns

  9. Giancarlo Fisichella has gone even further than Glock and actually won a race and now look at him. He's sat in a Force India making up the numbers.

I maintain what I said in my previous answer. I think he can be a solid mid field performer but I don't see him becoming champion.

  10. I would say it's unlikely. Assuming Raikkonen does retire after 2009 there are so many other drivers that could get the Ferrari seat (Alonso Vettel etc.), and of course with these new rule changes in 2009 there's nothing to say Ferrari will even have the fastest car.

He does seem to be improving all the time though.

  11. Glock wouldn't get the Ferrari drive unless it was as back-up to an out-and-out number one driver. Leaving aside the fact that there simply isn't anyone THAT dominant in F1 right now, to become champion he would need said dominant driver to do what Schumacher did in 1999 and rule himself out for most of the season to even have a shot at the title a la Eddie Irvine...and even then he probably wouldn't manage it.
