Since she was picked by McCain to be his VP, she has sparked much excitement with gun owners and hunters. Do you think her history and experience as an Alaskan hunter will draw more women into hunting and gun ownership?

  1. As to the first answer:  She is from Alaska - none of her firearms are registered.  Registration is not required here.  ANYONE can carry concealed here so long as they are not a fellon.

I hope other women take a good look at her lifestyle and understand that she is living the real American Dream.  Her husband doesn't pack up for the weekend with a case of beer and his buddy to go fishing - fishing is a huge family time thing in Alaska.  Same with hunting.  Dad doesn't head out with his buddies - the family sets up moose camp and it's a big family event too.  In Alaska the family normally works as a unit - our families don't scatter to all parts on the weekend.

Unfortunatly, if you look at some of the other quesitons here in Yahoo Answers you will see where other women appear disgusted that she hunts and is pro-wolf control.  I think these non-Alaskans need to just shut the *&^% up and deal.  Alaska has 17,000 plus wolves - we would be more than happy to export some to places like Central Park and Conecticuit.  Alaska has a $10.7 Billion surplus (unlike CA that has a $8 Billion or so deficate) - so we can afford to pay the shipping too.

Sarah calls into our local 'Firearms Friday' pro-gun and pro-2nd ammendment rights show in Fairbanks several times a year.  With her as VP you will not see McCain sign any new gun regulations.

Being a women - she has the unique qualifications and experience to go head to head with the likes of notorious anti-gunners  Nancy Pelocie (sp), Diane Fienstein and Sarah Brady.

So yes - she will be a really good shot in the arm for gun owners and potential new gun owners and new hunters.  She is the best thing for gun owners since the invention of the gun rack!

  2. Have any of you people seen what kind of lows the liberals are resorting to? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... and this is just one of them not even 24 hours after McCain picked her. So the liberal smear continues. It's disgusting, really disgusting what there doing.

I would say no. Most women don't like guns. It's probably a refresh and gun owners, and christians seem to like her.

  3. Having an established woman with a registered weapon in the white House could in fact encourage other women - and men as well - to register for permits, however, I do not think her activities in hunting will influence other women to climb deer stands.

  4. We can only hope that she will.  We need more women in the shooting sports.
