Do you think Grapefruit Seed Extract could help 'cure' cancer?

Grapefruit seed extract balances out pH levels, cancer cannot live in an alkaline environment of 7.4 or higher. So do you think that taking grapefruit seed extract could be a preventative measure for cancer or that it could possibly help treat it?

  1. From which low-life snake-oil salesman did you hear that: "cancer cannot live in an alkaline environment of 7.4 or higher".  That is completely bogus information.  The normal pH of human blood is in the range of 7.35 - 7.45, if your information were true, there would be no such thing as leukemia (blood cancer), and a quarter of a million Americans would not be sick with it this year.

There IS no scientific evidence "Grapefruit Seed Extract" does anything positive at all for anybody, except for fattening the wallets of the ethically-challenged charlatans selling it!

  2. No it couldn't.  If it were that easy, none of us would have cancer.

And nothing you ingest can change the acidity of anything in your body except your urine. Your stomach is so acidic that no food can change its acidity.

  3. Cancer is a generic term for your own cells that because of damage start replicating out of control.  I've never heard of cancer not being able to survive in a alkaline environment, but if that is true, then your normal cells couldn't survive in that same environment either.

Sorry to say this but this sounds like complete and utter B****ks!

  4. Shut uuuuupppppp.

  5. "cancer cannot live in an alkaline environment of 7.4 or higher"

No scientific evidence exists to support the statement that cancer cannot live in an alkaline environment. The idea has been discredited.

  6. Changing the pH of your body is damned near impossible. It's excruciatingly tightly regulated. Also I'd like to point out that the rest of the cells in your body can't live in an environment other than 7.4, with the exception of certain stomach cells.

Also, any acids or bases you consume orally are essentially snuffed out by the digestive process. They never get to muck with your blood or other body fluids compared tot he amount of buffering that's going on.

  7. NO.

  8. no the acids in your stomach would even everything out you would die before you changed the ph balance of your body
