  1. hector is going in for sure, like him or not he was one of the best of his era and he fought everybody,he was really a great lightweight  ,and though he wasnt so spectactular in the higher classes he managed to win alot of titles. .hamed was kind of a short lived phenom ,i dont think he is deserving of the hall of fame, but if england has its own boxing hall of fame he should get in that one.

  2. Camacho might, even though I can't stand him.

    Hamed?  LMFAO!

  3. I will say that Hector Camacho will make it to the hall of fame. In is 12th or 13th pro fight he captured a title at featherweight. Then moved up and took a lightweight title. Then a jr welterweight title. He never beat any great fighters, but in 85 fights he was never knocked out, and he was in against Chavez,Trinidad, and Oscar.  He was a big PPV and box office fighter, he put ***'s in seats and was one of the original flashy flamboyant boxers who made pre fight conferences a circus.

As for Hamed he was exposed when he fought Barrera, he fought most of his fights in Britain, and never really beat any top level competition except Kevin Kelly and Wayne McCullough.

After the Barerra fight he went back to fight a set up and wound up going a boring 12 rounds and has not fought since. So I cant see them excepting Hamed.

  4. Hector Camacho as much as I hate to say it will get in he was a good champion for a long time and he had a lot of boxing skills was he great no would I put him in there no but a lot of people love him he did beat an old Sugar Ray Leonard it is the only time I bet against Leonard and I won and I hated it. Hamed will never get in what did he do he lost his only real fight and lost it bad he was nothing more than hype I did like is ring entrance

  5. I think Hector Camacho will be in the Hall of Fame, but I can't see Naseem Hamed getting there.

  6. hector won titles at super feather, lightweight & jr welterweight, plus lesser straps at 147,154,160 & 168.

in his prime, he beat rosario, limon, j l remirez, pazienza, davis jr, haugen & boza edwards, plus wins over past-it  ray leonard and an over-the-hill-but-still-capable roberto duran (twice).

against the best (chavez, trinidad, de la hoya), he went the distance, and according to box rec, he's not finished yet!

i think he deserves to be in there on the strength of his prime achievements alone.

  7. I think they both should be in the HOF, Camacho clearly had a long and successful career - took on top guy throughout.  Hamed at his peak was very highly regarded, he hit harder than any 126 pounder ever, beat world champions, and was compelling.

Everyone says he was "exposed" by Barrera, Barrera happens to be the greatest featherweight of the era, losing a fight to him doesn't discredit an entire career.

  8. If it was hype that got you in the answer is yes. Up to now Naseem Hamed has not done enough to warrant admittance.
