  1. It's very, very likely Ike will hit South Florida.  Unless you're in Florida, I wouldn't worry much.  But as always, keep an eye out in case he decides to change paths all of a sudden.

An easy way to track Ike is with http://www.USAMediaGuide.com. It has a special section of links to Ike's projected path, National Hurricane Center and local news coverage, hurricane preparation tips, live streaming webcams, and other Ike-related stuff.

  2. TROPICAL STORM IKE HEADS WEST TOWARD FLORIDA. IS THIS ANOTHER HURRICANE ANDREW ?

As most of you know this is a very busy time in the tropics and Tropical is the 2nd player on deck for the Bahamas and United States.  The track is due west but my feeling is all bets are off on this track for one reason.  Hanna.   How fast and where Hanna goes should have some impact on Ike in some way.

    CHURN UP THE OCEAN...

As Hanna sits over the warm waters of the Atlantic near the Bahamas it will churn up those waters.  This makes the cooler water below rise to the surface.  This happened with Lili in Louisiana when I covered it a few years ago.  If you look at Hanna you'll see it comes up the U.S. coast.  That circulation should pull up IKE either toward Florida or up the coast into the Carolinas.  So lets look at IKE.

  3. OMG Im super scared to have another andrew in florida

  4. I live in South Florida and im scared to death too..  It doesnt look to good for us right now, but theres another update in about a half an hour.  Im watching it every 6 hours..  You never know this is mother nature, she can do whatever she wants to do!!

  5. I think it will hit somewhere on the east coast.  You have high pressure in the central atlantic that is steering hanna and ike.  High pressure rotates clockwise, and the high pressure is drifting westward, so chances are somewhere on the east coast will get a landfall from Ike.  It could possibly be another hugo but it is way too early to tell.

  6. I live in middle ga and im pretty scared because its a catagory 4.....Ike is traveling north west-ish and will head toward the bahama islands..weather channel is saying that it will either turn right right before it gets to florida or it will make a late turn and make landfall in florida.
