Hello, I'm trying to find careers that would suit me. I've wanted to be a Lawyer for a long time...maybe since 4th grade? I need some kind of "rough" idea of what area I would like to study in, because I still have the chance to change classes, if I want to. Anyway, here are some of my traits:
*I love to debate, and I win majority of the time, even with teachers, peers, and my father.
*I love to research, I research every chance I get, even if I don't have to. If I find something interesting, I research it.
*I am a very good writer, and I've been told that I have a talent for it. On state exams, I got the highest score in my grade. (I'm not trying to brag.)
*I am good at convincing people into doing things that they don't want to do.
*I am a good public speaker
*I am USUALLY open minded
*Stress generally doesn't bother me
*I can deal with having "the bad guy"
*When I do something, I put all effort forth into it, I don't skimp on projects, no matter how little points they are worth.
*I like to "out-do" everyone.
*I am extremely competitive.
*I love to learn.
Negative-
*I procrastinate (But I always get good grades, anyway, I'm academically gifted, so it's not a problem. [once again, I don't mean to brag])
*I can be hard headed
*I tend to be lazy
* I am VERY impatient.
*I am angered easily. (Thank you dad. :l)
*I am not good at math.
*I like to prove people wrong, and then rub it in their face. (I know, I know...mean thing to do.)
*I am a skeptic.
I don't want to be a Lawyer because "I want to help people". I want to be a Lawyer because I find the Law intriguing, and I think that I would be good at doing that job. I don't settle for anything short of the best. The college I WILL go to is Dartmouth. (Thats why I'm asking about this now, I want to take as many classes relevant to my career goal as possible.) I've already read many books about getting into Ivy Leagues, so don't give me any **** about how I can't get in. : )
If I don't sound like I would be a Lawyer, could you suggest another career field for me?
