During my freshman and sophomore year, I had a 2.8 G.P.A.

However, I am now in my junior year of high school and I have improved and I have an approx. 3.6 G.P.A. During my junior year, I only took 1 AP course. By the end of this year, I should have a cumulative 3.1 G.P.A. I took my SAT test this month and if I scored 1700~1800, do you think I have chance at being accepted into Virginia Tech?

My extracurriculars are semi-weak.

I plan to join English, Science, History and National Honor Society next year, senior year.

  1. you have a chance.

this is kinda off topic, but are you korean? Even if u get accepted and enroll, I dont think people will be friendly considering the virgina tech killings.

  2. Well, colleges usually focus on the first 3 years of high school however, your gpa has been going up and you are well rounded with your extra activites. Your SAT score is not the best because the highest is 2,400 and a good score for your situation would be a 2,000. But, if you live in Virginia, I think you should get accepted without a problem. Also, don't overkill your self with AP classes in Senior Year. You should enjoy Senior Year and take the SAT again. Best of luck
