Do you think I'll make friends in college?!?!!?

i'm going to be a freshman in college. i'm a little on the quiet side and literally everyone in my school is rich, popular, and outgoing. all the guys are muscular and on the football team so i know i have no chance with them. and all the girls are extremely gorgeous. i feel really self conscious when i'm around them. i guess i'm pretty attractive but i'm NOTHING compared to these other people and i'm just really nervous & scared that i'm gonna end up myself the whole 4 years :(

Don't degrade yourself.

If you are friendly to others they will mostly be friendly to you.

You say you are "on the quiet side", that's OK so are lots of other people.

Look for people who are also quiet and you will get along just fine.

Did you already have an orientation? That is a good time to get to know some of the new freshman class and also a good time to check out what different clubs and activities they offer. Usually the first week of school they have a lot of different activities going so just make sure you get yourself out there participate. Good Luck!

Join a club! or a sorority. Colleges try to help you make friends. They sponsor events just for new students so that you can meet new people. Your dorm probably wll have events too. Don't worry. You'll be fine!
