Do you think I can get a tat, underage in Germany?

I'm going without my parents, but I am 17 years old.. I'm right in the middle of being legal, and needing form of agreement.. If I do need a form of agreement.. a note or something, what kind of things do they want to hear in order for me to get it? If not a tattoo, would they let me get a piercing at 17?

  1. I'm to young for a tattoo I'm 16 and German , they always want to see my ID card.

  2. When I got mine over here they didn't ask for age. Or ID for that matter, But be careful as to which parlor you pick and the ink is different over here and they tend to go a lil deeper than they do in the states. I have to say If I were you I would wait all the tattoos I had done in the states look much better with brighter ink and a few of my tattoos are at least three years older than the one I got here and I already need to have the one I got here touched up. Best of luck.

  3. I really think it depends on where you go honestly.

Some shops will not question you at all unless you look like your are 12 maybe, and others will ID.

If one asks for ID just say you do not have it and will come back and try another one.

I agree totally with the above making sure they are good and use new needles and are clean and all that stuff.

So random chance, I am sure you will have no problem getting one at 17 there!

Have fun most of all and try to learn German and speak as often as you can for it will make you a bit more respected for caring about their language and customs, trust me on this.

  4. Nobody will ask for yr age!!! All my nieces have piercings and even tattoos

  5. I agree with Wulf, but borrowing drivers licenses and bank cards (to buy cigarettes at a vending machine) has become quite common here. So if you act right, you'll go for 18, maybe. Actually, nobody shows up with a form of agreement from the parents; it would make you a, well, you don't wanna hear the word.

  6. They want a written permission from your parents that

you are allowed to get whatever you want to get. Signed

by your parents. The form doesn't matter as long as it's

    readable.
