So about a year ago I got a job a Borders(the bookstore) and I was only able to work for three days...its a long story...so instead of doing the right thing and putting in a two week notice I just called-in. I feel really bad and I really liked that job...I went by the location the other day and noticed that they are hiring and I found out that they are getting a new store manager tom., so do you think that if I went in and spoke with the new manager and explained everything and apologized that he would hire me back?

  1. Did they have a mandatory 2 week notice policy?  Some large companies like borders only require that you say you are resigning, no notice necessary.  If there was a mandatory notice and you did not meet that you may be placed on a no hire list.  If that's the case, even if the new manager liked you and understood, he may not have the power to do anything about it.

It's worth a shot though.  Good luck.

  2. try an internet survey site while you find out what to tell your boss. you are paid for filling out online surveys. it maybe what you want.

try this link www. cashcrate. com/594185

sign up and try the surveys and if you like wait until month end to collect your check of $10 or more.

  3. God, I hate when morons respond with "try this online business" and blah, blah.

Why did you leave this job if you were happy?  That is the question the manager will ask.  Did you give a reason for leaving when you quit?  If not, here's a chance to lie your butt off with whatever reason you want.
