Do you think I got ripped off?

Question

I rented a used..in good condition washer/dryer set today for $499 at best way, I have 4 payments on it. Do you think it is a good deal or do you think I got ripped off? I paid $140 today and now I have $360 left to go. Some say that's a good deal for a set, but I hear from many ppl that rent to own places are way too expensive.

Please give me your opinion..thank you!!!

You could buy a used set for about $250.  Look in the classified ads or try Craigslist.

Most rent 2 own charge far more what an item is worth.  A new washer dryer can be bought for $500 and a good used set for around $200.

I would just put the money away and buy new.

If thats all you paid for it I would say it wasnt a bad deal.  But if there are interest and finance charges on the remaining balance, and depending on how much they are, you might have been ripped off.
