Do you think I have a chance at this Whole Foods job?

Okay, this is kind of complicated, but here goes:

I applied online about a month ago, and had an interview that went well. The team leader who interviewed me said to call back to see if they got my background check back, so I could go to orientation. But every time I called it hadn't been in and I missed that session of orientation (8/05-8/07). So I called again today (8/11), and then she told me that they weren't hiring from that pool of applicants and that I should apply again. (My thing is I actually wasn't in "that pool" since I never got a chance to go to orientation). I reapplied immediately after I got off the phone with her. I called her right back after I submitted my app. and she said she would give someone my name. I'm a little disheartened but I really want the job, and now I don't know what to do.

Try writing a letter to Whole Foods' corporate office.  Express how interested you are and what happened.  Write it well, and you'll get noticed.  Good luck.
