Alright so I have been getting what I believe is sleep paralysis. It is when your brain wakes up but your body remains in REM mode resulting in paralysis of the body. The first time it happened was in May and it including very violent shaking and a really long paralysis. The second time it happened I shook very violently. Several other times I would just wake up paralyzed. It happened two times in one night and then the next night I got it again twice. I haven't had it in about 3 nights. I do yoga so it can't be a lack of exercise. My stress level has gone down and I don't nap in the middle of the day. I am wondering if anyone knows any other reasons why I am getting this?

  1. go to sleep. Good night.

  2. Almost everyone has "woken" up in the middle of the night and felt paralyzed. However, it is abnormal to be shaking, especially violently. I think you should schedule an appointment with your doctor and tell him about this. It sounds like it may be serious or something that can only be solved with a doctors touch.

    hope this helps

  3. AHHHH I KNOW!!!  ok idk the violent shaking... but i know the paralysis.  i've had this  before it's really scary.  what happens is your brain is like asleep or something and if you wake up fast, it takes a while for nerves to get through or something, though this shouldn't happen often.  ask a doctor.  oh w8 you already explained that.
