Do you think I might be able to make a petition big enough by email to encourage more action for GW?

I really really want to make the Earth a better place but I can't do it alone. I am thinking of making a petition by email and then having it returned to me via email to print out and send to the future president. Maybe it will work...

  1. Online petetions are worthless, and paper petetions are worth only a little more.  People will sign anything you put in front of them.

Letter writing is more effective, especially if each letter is not simply a copy of an existing letter.

I think you are misguided in your cause, but I think that an online printed petition, to a politician, is likely worth only 2-5 letters, even with thousands of names.

  2. It's not likely.  This year, being cooler than many years on record, has opened a lot of peoples' eyes to the truth about global warming.  The truth is, it doesn't exist.

The Earth warms and cools in its own natural cycle.  We are coming out of a mini-ice age, and people who don't know any better are panicking.

  3. No because many intelligent people realize it is a scam.

  4. It's great to hear you want to get involved and with lots of work and enthusiasm it's possible for sure. However, I do think it would be easier for you if you used a petition already in circulation which you can forward and inform your friends about.

I found this to forward to friends when searching: http://action.environmentaldefense.org/c...

Or this to send to your representatives:

There is also a "Stop Global Warming Virtual March" you can sign together with more than 1 000 000 other.

    Good Luck! :-)
