  1. Crikey mate, you're getting 10 times what I got when I was your age.  My son, who is 11, gets paid by the job and not by the week, because there are some things he fails to do once in a while, or he outright refuses to do something when he decides he doesn't want to do it.  My policy is no work, no pay.  For you to get what you are, you are very blessed indeed.

Cleaning your room and making your bed should be a normal thing for you to do without pay since they come under the heading of "if you make a mess, clean it up".  Feeding the lizard, which I assume you "love", also should be something normal for you to do just like my son feeds and gives water to our "family" dog, so I wouldn't pay you for that.  The rest of your list would be considered chores for which I would pay you, but I would also add taking out the trash for pick-up on trash pick-up days and removing clothes from the dryer when they are done including the folding and properly putting away of your own clothes.

I know this may make you mad, but I would give you only a $2.00/month raise because you are paid almost enough (I pay my son roughly $3.00/week when he does everything.) for the real chores you do.

  2. i got £1 ($2) a week if i did all my chores and i never had anything bought for me unless i needed it, for example i wanted a cell phone so i had to save up allowances and birthday/Christmas money. when i needed a new book for school my mum bought it. i think you should learn the value of a dollar and enjoy and save what you get

  3. what kind of chores do you do to earn your allowance? ten dollars doesn't sound like much for a whole month.

  4. Not enough info.

    What is your age?

What expenses are your responsibility? do you pay for your school lunches?  School supplies? Clothing?

  5. i say $10 is enough for a 10 year old. i had like $2.
