Question:

Do you think I need new tires?

I was recently driving on the highway, going about 70-75 mph, and it was pretty windy outside. Every couple minutes or so, my vehicle would wobble or sway. I couldn't tell if the other vehicles were doing like mine, some were going faster than I was. It was windy, but I've experienced more wind before. Might I need some tires (I've had the same ones for a while), something else, or what?

  1. so you added air when.... you should be able to look at your tires and tell if they are wore out or not but either they are low or it was just the wind  id think it was the wind but check your tires pressure

  2. you definitly need new tires for your car and put on the  winter nonslippery kind

  3. if it done it now and then it was the wind. you need new tires when the tread depth gets to the cross bars on your tires.

  4. The best way to figure that out is to check the treadwear on your tires, if it's less than an 1/8th of an inch, then it's probably time. Additionally, there are wear indicators built in to your tires, but those are very hard to spot.

Most likely, it was just the wind, sort of, pushing against the side of your car, which was acting as resistance, so you felt it more than usual.

  5. check the air in the tyres if its not to good take it to a tyre shop and get their advise!

  6. if there is no grip on your Tyre's i suggest you get some or it could be the wheel alignment.
