Do you think I should buy this?

I have a canon rebel xti and I'm planning to buy the following:

tiffen circular polarizer

1gb complact flash memory card

and an extra battery.

I'm going to the beach with a bunch of friends this friday and I only have 1gb card so I dont know if I should buy another one and an extra battery. What do u guys think? i cant really decide on my own.

Yes!  Nothing more frustrating than a camera with a dead battery.  You will always find the extra memory handy.  The polarizer is a really handy accessory for reducing glare in outdoor pix.  Good Choices!

An extra card and battery are always a good idea.  I went on a trip and had charged the one battery overnight.  When I started taking pictures the next day, I got the dreaded "low battery" warning.  It seems that when I recharged the battery it didn't make good contact and didn't charge fully.  I would've killed for an extra battery then.

As, for the filter, I have never been a big fan of filters, so you are on your own on that.  If you like it, buy it.  Better to have it and not need it, then to need it and not have it.

Definitely buy the polarizer and the extra battery.

You'll love how the polarizer darkens the blue sky and makes white clouds really stand out. Plus, it removes glare from sand, water, glass, snow and painted metal - but not polished metal.

If you'd asked this last week I would have suggested a visit to http://www.cameraarmor.com and http://www.bonicadive.com to check out their protective camera covers. Very useful for keeping sand and spray out of your camera. Maybe they have overnight shipping...
