I am going to show and my horseback riding coach and I are going to pick between these two horses. I do really well and have really good transitions on this pony. The only thing holding me back from riding him is that he is a pony and the last show we went to the bigger the horse the higher they were placing. I ride western. Please tell me what you think! Thanks!!

  1. if you are better on the pony then ride the pony, but as the person above me said ther are certain classes for ponies... mayb you couold enter in that class

  2. Well I don't think it really matters if you do better on the pony you should ride the pony.

  3. Larger horses can get more of a western slow trot look, as ponies have quick little steps even when they aren't moving, which is the way that western ponies are expected to go. At shows they should have classes designated specially for ponies, then you should do fine and not be at a disadvantage.

I hope that I helped you. Good Luck (:

  4. I have had the experience that judges won't even look at a pony competing with horses even if pony and rider are out preforming the horses. Which is really sad.

  5. No.  But I think you'd be stupid.
