  1. While he has been steadily rising in the rankings, and his play has improved, winning a slam could happen, though quite difficult. There is so much talent, depth, within todays players, that on any day, any player can have their moment. While the top 3 win more so then others, they still get their losses, and only shows that, especially within top 30, any one of them could be slam winners.

  2. NO...

  3. No chance, he is better than mediocre, but doesn't have the calibre to hold it togrther for seven matches at a grandslam

  4. a big  NO

  5. Honestly, no I don't.  I think he can make it far in a slam, like a semifinal or maybe even a final at the Australian Open, but not all the way to the title.  You have to remember, the only players to have won a slam at all in the past 4 years are Federer, Safin, Nadal and Djokovic.  That's a pretty elite group of players, and as much as I like Tipsy, I just don't think he's of the same calibre.

  6. nope

  7. Doubtful. Federer was sick when that happened. It was a fluke. He's a good player, but not that great. Not in this era of Djokovic, Nadal, and Federer. Best players ever, if you ask me.

  8. NO

  9. I suppose anything is possible. He's very likeable, so I'd root for him (unless he's versus Fed).

  10. Nope - not unless all the top players happen to be injured, or injure themselves during the tournament. Even then he wouldn't win it. He doesn't have the temprement to do so and it is evident in his matches. Much like Mark Philippoussis - played some great matches in a tournament beating highly ranked players, then bombed out (badly) against the person he was actually "expected" to beat.

Janko is talented, but much like too many of the other players on tour - capable, but never going to be a regular champion, or major champion. Hey may be a surprise finalist in a GS tournament one day, akin to Marcos Baghdatis, Martin Verkerk, Rainer Schüttler, Magnus Norman etc. however I highly doubt it.

Odd that he plays one close match against Federer (albeit an ill Federer - although no one knew at the time), and his stocks have soared due a 10-8 fifth set! What a crock. Janko has done little, to nothing of significance since. Look at his Hamburg performance against Montanes and the lack of effort he put in when he realised it wasn't going to be an easy win! That match point was so telling. WTF was he doing on that one!

  11. My answer is no.

Though he did come very close to beating Roger Federer at the US Open last year, I don't think he has the ability to win a Grand Slam tournament. At the Australian Open, Federer, and Novak Djokovic dominate. At the French Open, Rafael Nadal has never lost, and he has beaten Federer there all three years. At Wimbledon, Federer has won it five years in a row, Nadal has made it to the final the past two years, and it isn't likely that either one of them are going to lose to Tipsarevic. Finally, at the US Open, Roger is almost undefeatable, and he was until Djokovic arrived and beat him in the final last year.

Again, I don't think Tipsaravic could win a Grand Slam tournament, but he could make it to the quarters or the semis even.

  12. Nope!!!!

  13. just cos u get close to beating federer does not mean u get a grand slam.

i really like tipsarevic he looks real cute, intellectual kinds,he has these real cute specs and cool tattoos.

at his present situation he definitely is not winning a slam.

but if he improves and more importantly stays away from injuries cos he always seems to be injured he may have a shot at it after a few years.

i would definitely like to see him winning a slam.

  14. Federer was mono-ed. Tipsy is good, but not that good.

  15. yep.

  16. i like janko alot. he's got a nice game-probably even nicer than novak's game. what we did indeed witness in australia did show us what he is actually capable of doing but the thing that hinders him, ultimately,is his consistency. if he could play that strongly in every match, every tournament he'd be in the top 10,he would be winning titles. but alas,he just hasn't done it enough to make him a major factor. so therefore,i don't think so. unless he could pull it together and actually start beating top players, winning trophies on a consistent basis, then perhaps we could see something. but at the moment, seems highly unlikely.

  17. Maybe a masters tournament, but I don't think that he can win a grand slam.

  18. it's quite a possibility. He's still very young, and has all the fundamentals and good all-round  capability. In the past few years he has gotten lower down in the rankings, and is able to attend most major tournaments. He is one of the rising stars of tennis in his country.
