  1. Yes.

  2. i dont think he is overrated because he got flow and lyricism and is one of the best ever, but i dont think he IS the best ever

  3. yea and imo he's not that good eaither well after beyonce happen before he was pretty good and the american gangster was kinda good too

  4. In my opinion, yes he is. I said so in another thread. The quote that comes to mind when I think of Jay is, "I dumbed down for my audience to double my dollaz" --- that's from his song, 'Moment of Clarity'. That pretty much sums up his career. And if you actually think about it ---- that's insult to his fans [you]. Why would he have to dumb for his audience? Is he calling his fans dumb or unworthy of meaningful music? You be the judge... What he should've said was, he dumbed down for corporate america --- the big execs and sponsors were the ones giving him lucrative checks.

Do you think MJ, Tiger Woods, and other greats in their field, would decide to play a certain way to make more money, if it meant taking away from their fans? No. If you respect Jay for that than go ahead... By him making the decision he made, he took away from his fans, because he could've made a lot more meaningful raps than he did.
