Mathew 7:22 Many will say to Me in that day, "Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?"

23 And then I will declare to them, "I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness."

Sounds like he doesnt want to be called Lord, probably because you Christians put him on a pedestal when he didn't ask for it. Paul never even met Jesus yet you buy everything he says.

  1. Yes.

  2. colossians 1:15 Says he is the first spirit person or person of any kind that God ever created.  God has always been here and was never created but Jesus was.

Revelation 3:14 says he was God's first creation.

    REvelation 1:1 says that

A revelation by Jesus Christ that God gave him

So is Jesus the almighty God?  NO.

  3. No, I think he was an addict............ done to many mushrooms

  4. You have made a misinterpretation of this verse.

    Examine verse 21.

Matthew 7:21  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

"...Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven...", seems to indicate that others that HAVE called JESUS, LORD LORD, ARE going to heaven!

    GOD bless

  5. Jesus is still the lord but he is not the GOD...In that verse, Jesus does not recognize the person in the verse because they are sinful and does not belong in the right religion.

  6. If you take verses away from its context and twist it, it might seem like that. However, He accepted worship and also He is the Alpha and the Omega

  7. Yes, Jesus is God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. See Colossians 2:9.

  8. No, I do not.  jesus was just a man.

  9. You mean IS  He is sitting on the right hand of God and God has given Him all authority in heaven and on earth.  That means He is Lord.

  10. He is saying I never knew you because they were false prophets. They weren't Christians. See, Jesus knows our hearts, and just because some one says Lord, Lord doesn't mean they really mean it in their heart. Paul did meet Jesus. He met Him on the road to Damascus and Paul knew who He was even though he was on the way to persecute a church. So will all of us know Him when we meet Him. And every knee will bow and call Him Lord but it will be to late for remissions of sin for many.

  11. Maybe this will help to explain a little more. It is wise to define one's terms so that there is a clear understanding at the start. This is:

GOD = Divine Universal Presence, or Cosmic Consciousness

CHRIST = individualized consciousness of God, made in His image.

Quotes: "I of myself can do nothing, it is the Father within me who doeth the work." and "I and the Father are One."

The man Jesus was completely drawn up into the Christ consciousness state and when He spoke, it was from the Christ centre, not the human form of Jesus. There is a difference here that causes misunderstanding for some.

The Master came to show us the Way, it was by his "Message of Love" for all mankind and for God that he sought to unite all souls because GOD IS ALL. It is not you who is living, it is God, for He created all things, IS ALL.

By demonstrating love for humanity you become channels for God to work through you, hence you too will express the Christ qualities.

  12. Yes!  Jesus IS God!!

  13. of course.

    he still is

    simple as that

  14. Umm I'm sorry but do you even know what this verse is talking about?

It's about people who have gone around saying they believe in Jesus but actually do not know him in their hearts. So of course He will not accept them. Jesus will be doing the right thing to not accept them. It's the same exact thing if you go up to a celebrity's door and think you have a right to be let in because you know the person "so well" from what you've seen and read, but he has all the right to call the cops on you and send you away. There is nothing wrong there.

halo, Jesus never came out and said 'I AM GOD' because He was doing signs and wonders for them and that was the proof that "unfaithful generation" needed. To know WHY he did this read Matt. 21:23-27. This explains why. Also, I don't know what Bible you're reading, but I think you'll find John 8:48-59 quite interesting, because in it you can tell He's holding back shouting that He's God.

  15. Halo (for saint?) 9200 (for ISO9000?), you have a confusion in you, because - although you quoted a true passage - it is not related to what you understood.

Mathew is quotes Jesus about those who "claim to be christians, and doing things in the name of Jesus" that do not have the love of God in it. That is the reason why He does not know them. Paul said that if we prophesie and do all kinds of miracles and yet there is no love, it's worthless. That is why Jesus will not know them. They were practitioners of 'lawlessness', not lovers of God.

He asked Peter "and WHO do you think I am?" and he answered "You are the Son of God".

(Matthew 16:16-17)  And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jonah: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father who is in heaven.

So, He knew who He was, and they were not putting Him on a pedestal, He IS always on a pedestal...He is The Son Of God.

  16. Was and still is!

  17. You're misinterpreting this passage. You even have the quote defining who he was speaking to in your post: I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.

  18. no, I'm Jewish

  19. Jesus really was and still is Lord.

  20. I am a Messianic Jew and I believe that Jesus is Lord with all my heart. :)

  21. Yes, technically he is in human form, but at the same time He is also the Son of God. Hope I helped!!!! :)

  22. no

  23. Biblical scholars have never found anything in the way of irrefutable historical evidence for the existence of the god-man that Christians call their "Lord." Notice that the Jesus lovers here accuse you of taking verses "out of context," "going around the verses," and "misinterpreting" - standard excuses for the contradictions and inconsistencies found among the four gospels.

  24. It depends on your idea of what the lord is.

  25. Yes, I think he really was. Did he reprimand Thomas when he called Him "My Lord and my God", no, He blessed him.Did He reprimand Peter for proclaiming Him the Son of the Living God? No, He blessed him. When He read Isaiahs prophesy about the Messiah in the temple and told the Jews that He was the fulfillment of that prophecy, He didn't shrink from the name. I've read your red letter edition, and a few others and I know that He made it clear to everyone exactly who He is.

  26. Nope he was not.

  27. that passage is talking about how in the last days we will be judged and that some people will say that they did what he commanded, even though they didn't, and he will not let them into the gates of heaven. God does want to be called Lord, the bible says to love the lord your God with all your heart with all your soul with all your mind and with all your strength. if you read and take that scripture in context, it is way different from what you say. just read before it and after it. God bless you!
