  1. Was quite surprised when I heard that he was going to Kawasaki. I think he should of stayed with suzuki they are a much better team. Went to the czech race yesterday and it was good to see Hopkins come second.

  2. I think it is a good move.  I believe the only thing they need is a quality rider.  Look at where the Suzuki team was a few years ago and where it is today.  I believe Hopper wants the spotlight and with Kawasaki, he will become the posterboy of the company especially if he continues his recent success.

  3. This has been asked already dude.

  4. Hm? What a good question some people say it is a good move and some say it isn't but I think he has made a good move but Suzuki were going to release him anyway so where else could he go to other than Kawasaki?

  5. Well... not really. John has been doing great on his old bike. I have no idea why he had to change the team. The kawasakis are great bikes but I don't think they will suit Hopkins. I'm sure he'll do good with the new team but kawasaki are not from the teams that get the first three places. I thought John wanted to win a title. If he is expecting a rainy season, okey... the kawasaki bike will do just fine. But I'm not so sure he'll be winning with it.

Still, I hope he has luck with the green bike :)

  6. Can't help but think it's money related......... both bikes are good, but how often has he been beaten by a Kwacker this season????? Brno was a good example! first kwacker was 8th. No doubting he's faster than RdP tho' so we'll just have to wait and see methinks........

  7. A good move in what respect? Obviously for John he feels it is a good move personally. I don't quite understand his motives but maybe there are things happening to him that we are not privvy to. As an outsider I was surprised to see him doing this but it could be that Kawasaki have offered to build a bike and team around him, with an eye to the future.

Look at this way three years ago no one would have thought that Ducati would be on the cusp of a world title, maybe it will soon be Kawsaki's turn.

  8. Hey Neil,

I think Hopper has his game face on lately - and has realised life (and a racing career) is short!

Those Kwakka boys must be rubbing there hands together after the weekend.

  9. Well it looks like the suzuki is getting close, finally. But that doesnt mean they'll improve next year. 6 of one half dozen of the other. The Kawasaki has been steadily improving so who knows.

  10. to be fair the Kawasaki is faster than it looks just needs a top rider on it i think nakano was daft to move away from it but maybe Hopkins as gone for the money only time well tell but the Suzuki is on pace now so maybe he will rue leaving
