McCain will not attack Iran except under severe provocation; more provocation than the fact that they are aiding the enemies of the Iraqi people or the capture and exploitation of British sailors in international waters.

Well I assume the Hidden Mahdi will help Iran once the fighting gets fierce.  

I'm kind of kidding; I don't believe in the Hidden Mahdi, but even if I did, I hope he would be more decent than that.

Question one: Very possibly.

Question Two: Russia has publicly stated that an attack on Iran will be considered an attack on Russia. And Iran has observer status in the SCO alliance and has applied for full membership, Russia has agreed to support their application. If Iran is accepted as a full member of the SCO, China and several other central Asian states would be obligated to defend Iran if it is attacked.

Russia and China have already given Iran extremely potent modern weapons like the sunburn anti-ship missile to defend themselves against the USA with, so it's not just talk.

So yes, other nations will almost certainly come to Iran's aid if the USA attacks it.

I hope that McCain will do what he has to, but I SURE hope it doesn't come to a long drawn out war like Iraq turned out to be.  

As for countries that would come to Iran's 'aid', yes, other terrorist nations out for a piece of America's a$$ will support them.

No matter who attacks first, Israel or the USA, it won't be pretty.  Prophecy,  the war of Ezekiel chapter 38, predicts an ugly confrontation between Israel and her northern neighbors.  If Israel attacks Iran, the USA will defend Israel and you are still battling Russia and China.  It's not a matter of if or who, it's a matter of when.
