All drivers in any type of racing are probably friends. They all have a common goal. They have to have respect for each other to truly be successful. Anything the media or people create is simply drama.

Yes I do.  Jeff Gordon was really good friends with Dale Sr. and had the utmost respect for him and I think that him and Jr. are friends even if they weren't teammates.  They are very competitive drivers and will do battle on the race track but off it is a different world.

I have noticed every weekend before the race they show Jimmie and Jr. standing by their cars talking together. Even last week after practice Jimmie and Jr. were standing side by side. You could tell Jimmie was talking about his crashes because of the hand signals he was making. I don't see Jeff with them, but that is not to say that Jeff and Jr. are not friends.

It has been said that they are rivals they were the top of the board and were competitors pushing each other, now that they are teammates they need to push each other even more. That is how you work as a team you pushed each other to better themselves but I think there is a little camaraderie among them

Like 48JJ said..Jr and Jimmie seem to be a little closer than Jeff and Jr.  Jeff is probably butthurt over that fact..as Jimmie was supposed to be HIS best buddy.  Now there's another superstar in the picture...

yes they were friends before jr joined their team thats why they get along so good with each other

i think they probably are. even though i don't pull for junior in the races, i think that his personality is one that makes him an easy person to be friends with. junior's fans are the ones that dream up all of conflicts. seeing junior out on his boat with other drivers i would never expect to see him with reinforces my opinion about this.
