  1. Yes...right decision regarding morals and reputation,oh and maybe money..lol

He is not the first player to ever swap teams,so I don't see what all the fuss is about.

West Coast are not doing much better than Carlton at the moment anyway.

  2. basically who are we to say its a right or wrong decision, obviously he thought it was RIGHT FOR HIM ,family wise, money wise, friends wise, probably reputation wise and for some people the power of your home and family/friends help define your life choices and in Judd's case id say these factors did.

he's always been a VIC at heart and he wanted to come home to be around his family simple as that............seems like a good decision to me.

  3. I think he did Steph, just getting out of that environment, i mean this guy is a professional sportsman who loves his chosen sport.  He would of hated being around drug takers etc, i think we can assume that.

Whether he picked the right club, time will tell, would of loved him at Richmond as you would of at collingwood, he will take till the 2nd half of the year b4 we see him playing real good footy. It wont be till next season when he returns to his best, i think. you can see that when he is kicking the ball he is still tentative to actually kick the c**p out of it, so he gives it off or short passes.

good luck to him anyway, I'm glad he is back in Victoria, pity it's at Carlton.

  4. I think he made the wrong decision.

It's OK to be paid a trillion bucks a game to play but for someone with his profile - to be seen running around with a mob of losers would be a bit soul destroying.

He will never be the footballer he was when he was playing for the Eagles.

I bet his ego & pride is suffering. I wonder how many times he has gone to visit mum since he's been back in Vic......

  5. he prob wanted to get out of there as soon as he could

    before he started snorting coke

he just wanted to return home

eagle fans prob hate him and will call him a traitor. but i reckon they should thank him for his service; delivering them a flag

especially after being drafted to a team he prob didnt really want to play for in the first place and he gave everything every week.

  6. Steph, he want to come back to Melbourne, where he grew up. Chris Judd is in list for the top 10 highest paid Australian athletes, so money was no issue. His current girlfriend, Rebecca Twigley, was accept to do a course at a melbourne university and Judd needed to leave the club cause of off-field dramas caused by Cousins, Kerr, Fletcher, Chick, Embley etc.

  7. I think it was the BIGGEST mistake to make

  8. Everyone is saying is it a good decision, right.. Everyone has to know he's not at full potinenal yet, he's still struggling with his fitness. You give him 4-5 more matches, he'll slowly get his fitness back up and become dominate again.

Anyway, it's not about the decision, because Carlton are a bad side doesn't mean it's a good decision or not.

  9. Eagles fans always knew he would go back it was just a matter of time I think he made the right decision for him which is the main thing.

I  don't have sour grapes he was our first brownlow medalist he won a norm smith medal and captained a premiership side and I wish him the best.

What  makes me laugh though is those that think he had to get away from bad influences so he could play with squeaky clean players like Fevola.

  10. yeah i think he did, because he wanted to go home

  11. Yes made the right decision leaving west coast

but went to Carlton that was the wrong decision

  12. I think he left west coast to get away from the "culture" there.

He is a true footballer who wants to be in a true football culture......

I was surprised he went to carlton...didn't seem like a good fit to me, I think that was his wrong decision.

  13. Whether he made the right decision leaving the Eagles is anyones guess.

Did he make the right decision by going to Carlton? I bet he is having second thoughts already.

Top footballers play top football while playing in a top side. One rarely sees a footballer playing top football while playing in a bottom side.

  14. He wanted to come home and Carlton gave him the best offer.  That's how we all choose our jobs I thought!   Carlton will improve, it's only early days.

  15. Yes he made the right choice.

He need to get away from Kerr, Cousins, Fletcher etc. All those drug takers were bringing the club down.

At Carlton Judd will be part of a dynasty with so much young talent around him.

  16. Not sure if you could say its the right decision, but there are alot of positives in the decision

    1) His girlfriend is a model and there's more modeling jobs in Melb than WA

    2) The Carlton Board is well connected in the business world so if he can be tight with them - he's set up for life after football

    3) Given the issue around Gardiner, Cousin and to a certain extent Kerr - the WC corporate image is tarnished for several years to come therefore his earning potentials will be reduced.

    4) At Carlton he's worshiped more so that WC

    .

  17. If thats what he wanted to do and if hes happy there, then yeah ...... he did the right thing

  18. Absolutely right decision - he wanted to be around his family and friends and good on him for putting family and friends ahead of those partying druggies at WCE.

And the $$$ is just an extra bonus..

Wish people would stop talking Judd up as the one man Carlton show..
