They just were!!!!!!!!!!  Oh wow didn't you notice!  The Undertaker won the world title at WrestleMania 24 and Kane won the ECW Title!

To do that would send the wrong message to the younger superstars that WWE is not helping them to get a push and this would also send the wrong message to the fans that WWE is on the verge of destruction for over-relying on aging but established talents while refusing to give younger superstars the necessary push. The impression that WWE is on the verge of destruction is due to the memory of WCW. WCW made this mistake when they started to crumble, and thus if WWE is making a similar move (in this case by granting the Bros of Destruction both top titles of WWE) it would even be a death knell for the fans, and the fans might even feel that it is time to stop watching WWE as it is on the verge of destruction and to move to TNA which is growing.

Thus, I think it is not a good idea to make Kane and Undertaker world champions together, but if you want to see them getting a push so much in terms of championship gold, I think the alternative would be winning one of the tag team titles, either they bash up Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder for WWE tag team championship or perhaps they could even engage in a small storyline with team Simply Priceless (Cody Rhodes and Ted di Biase) and win the World Tag Team Championship.

This way, the top titles can be given to younger talents with potential while the aging and established talents would still get their push.
