Aren't Kate Middleton's parents millionaires, if so, why can't they afford to pay for her 24/7 protection? Since Kate and Prince William are not officially engaged, she is not entitled to any "free" 24/7 protections. Why should she get any extra special treatment than Princess Anne's children who are also not receiving any 24/7 protections, they are "more" royal than she is anyway whether commoner or not, both Peter and Zara are in fact 11th and 12th in line to the British throne. It’s a waste of taxpayers’ money to throw away like that to someone who is not even an official British royal member, does that mean that every “girlfriend” of both Prince William and Prince Harry from now on must get free 24/7 protections around the clock?? The late Diana, Princess of Wales did not receive her 24/7 protection either until “AFTER” the official royal engagement.

The more I read about Kate making in the new headlines again, the more I believe she is definitely not the “one” or Queen material for Prince William. In March 2007, the Daily Mail also, for the first time, painted Middleton in an unflattering light. The article claimed that Middleton had started to use her status as Prince William's girlfriend to her advantage, that she had accepted free gifts, such as a £1,000 Burberry Manor bag and a £300 handbag from Melissa del Bono. According to the Daily Mail, Audi gave Middleton a discount after she bargained with them for a new car. Another claim was that she had argued with a parking warden on receiving a ticket and used front doors (after fixing her hair and makeup) to leave night clubs instead of private exits, allowing the paparazzi to take photos, even though she had threatened legal action against photographers in the past. Finally, the article suggested that Middleton had had little contact with her university friends since becoming involved with Prince William.
