Raikkonen was 6th today and Felipe was faster. Raikkonen is being out shined by Massa. I thought by now, Kimi should be way infront, now he is just clinging on to the Championship.

  1. The Kimster gets like that at times, he will be back on form soom :)

  2. Massa is the faster driver

  3. He does seem to be going through a bit of a dip for the last couple of races, but never count Kimi out, he has a habit of pulling something out of the bag when it matters !

  4. i dont av a clue what yur on about but it sound like Kimi isd just feeling the pressuer

  5. well he's the only driver i've seen perform better in races. he had a rough weekend including practice too. so hopefully tomorrow he could get the right setup and mount a huge run to the podium.

  6. i wish fernando wouldve gotten a ride with ferrari, its amazing how if a team is off it makes you look less of a driver...ex fernando, there team is awful and u dont get to see how good a driver he is

  7. Nah he's still doing okay. He had a set-up problem, the first two qualifying rounds were fine, but the fuel load just ruined the balance. Same problem for Kubica, although he also had to contend with problems from yesterday.

  8. Kimi is usually better in the race, don't write him off just because he qualified on the third row. In the qualifying, he was pushing too hard, probably feeling the pressure, though do remember that he was carrying more fuel. He is tied first for the championship, I wouldn't call that hanging on.

  9. kimi does have a history of being a pretty erratic driver. That said, he's only been off the podium 4 times this season and failed to score twice. Last year he was in a similar position, off the podium 5 times and failed to score twice, and he became champ. Don't despair yet........someone else might have some bad luck.

If my maths and memory is right, at this point last season he had 50 points, two more than he has now and he was behind the lead by a points margin where as this year he's on equal points and trailing by actual results.

  10. At silverstone you cannot say he was driving bad as he clocked the fastest lap time of the race and if the ferrari gamble wont have turned ugly than ....kimi could have won the British GP...and

Hockenhiem-was never kimi's race....if you see the stats he never really won a race at hockenhiem!!!...and again the ferrari wasnt up to the mark for sure at hockenhiem...the McLaren of hami was going 1/2 a second per lap faster than Massa's ferrari and even BMW the BMW of Nick Heidfeld was attacking massa at the closing stages of the race....i think if the race may had been running for 3-4 laps more than massa may have surely lost out on that podium....maybe Ferrari may improve in the next race at hungaroring...but again its not one of those strongest circuits of theirs...remember F.Alonso securing his first win there and upon that lapping up M.Schumacher...at hungaroring-hungary.....But after staying away from podium(esp that top spot) kimi will surely be Hungry to win at Hungary...come what may!! ;-)

  11. I think Raikkonen is on 50% throttle at the moment, he will turn the heat up when he falls behind in the championship by a few points.

  12. Kimi just seems lazy and unmotivated lately.  I also think he needs to go on a diet because his fatness may also be a contributing factor to the recent handling problems with his car.

  13. I think he's just not happy with his car at the moment. they said he was just using the first quali session as a 'practise' as he wasn't happy with the set up. hopefully he'll be able to make up some ground tomorrow and be on the podium.

  14. Dunno what's up with him. I think he's got a problem with finding the right set up. Plus it's Germany. The tracks there don't seem to love him very much, if you look up the stats. I think he's just having less good luck. He's a really good driver and I believe that he is capable of winning the title.

He's not just gonna sit back and let someone just kick his butt. He will give it his best shot. He may not have done so well in quali but when it really matters on race day, he'll bring the heat

  15. I don't think he is motivated any longer.  In general I don't think he is that good.

I think a bad result tomorrow, such as a DNF, will make it pretty tough for him to win the championship.  The German GP has been very unkind for him.

Hamilton won Silverstone, he is favorite to win tomorrow at Hockenheim.  The next two races after Germany are Budapest and Valencia, Mclaren tracks.

It is possible that Hamilton will win 4 races in a row and in that case I think it is over for Ferrari.  Hamilton being champ is not that bad of a result for me because I think heads will roll at Ferrari if they don't win the title this year.  I have no confidence in Raikkonen-Massa lineup and never have.

  16. he's just unlucky today. the game is not over yet.

  17. No, I don't think it's pressure about the championship, but other factors. Kimi is a great driver, but has suffered bad luck at crucial times, with McClaren and Ferrarri. When he was with McClaren he was lucky if his car could last a race, and ironically sionce he moved to Ferrarri the McClaren car has gone from strength to strength not only in reliability but allso in performance. He can't seem find the set up he needs in the Ferrarri. Ferrarri are also really missing Ross Brawn, in my opinion.

Then there is Alonso's move to Ferrari, effectively telling Kimi he not the man they want any more.

i think it's great that the Championship is so open at the moment, adn I'm confident that Kimi can step up a lot more if needs to for the championship. (Altho as a MCClaren fan I hope not!!)
