Do you think Knox is going to be too trendy now (thanks, Brangelina)?

Question

I have liked the name Knox for a boy for YEARS. Then stupid Brangelina comes along and uses it...do you think it would still be an okay name if we have a boy?

Well I think a lot of other people like yourself will be turned off using it for the same reasons, and therefore it probably wont be popular. I mean I am sure someone out there was thinking of naming their kid Apple before Gwyneth did, and then because she used it, they decided not to, and it isn't in the top 100 names : )

I honestly hope that it doesn't, I'm not a fan of the name. I like how she named it after the grandfather though, she's not like the other celebrities that simply name their kids the wackiest thing they can think of. I like the name Vivienne (I think that's how she spelled it?). I would have used that one for myself, but I'm sure everyone is going to use it.

Oye, I'm mad at them too for ruining the perfectly lovely Vivienne. I'm going to use it anyways though, since my Great Aunt was Vivian.

stars do have a knack for ruining good names. i had cate wynter picked out till nicole richie came along and pinched it from me. i would not use a name a star used recently, but its your choice. and like u care what i think anyway!!

I know exactly what you mean!!! I have loved Theo for years and then there's a young promising footballer (apparently!) in the UK who's called Theo, so it'll probably take off here too!

We can only hope that all these pregnant women can think for themselves & not just follow a fad!

Yeah, I'd say it's gotten way more popular because of them, as to whether it's TOO popular or getting to be, I don't know.  

But if you like it that much, just go for it!  I wouldn't have noticed it as a celebrity's baby name (though I rarely follow celebrity names - it's usually ones posted on here that I know - like this one for the first time.)

I don't think it's a bad idea to name a boy Knox.  Some people will probably wonder if you're a Superfan.  But, by the time your son gets into school, do you really think a classmate would make fun of him for being named after a Brangelina baby?  If you love it, do it!

they named Knox after Angelina's grandfather.

they are entitled just as much as you are to use the name.

I think it will take a few years to "catch on"...just like Maddox...but yes eventually it will likely become trendy.
