Do you think Kobe plays great in the Finals, not counting the 08 finals without Shaq

He won 3 finals, and Shaq played great. But last year he had Pau and well Kobe did not play well because of Pau. What do you think?

He doesn't need shaq to play better. He is awesome, and he just needs a better partner for next year. They were playing against a very strong team. pau is alright, but you cant always depend on one person.

I think Kobe plays great in any Finals game where he's got someone watching his back like Shaq did when they were together.  In '08, he didn't have nobody to watch his back.  Pau was too soft and Odom was too inconsistent.

This is the first time Kobe has been to the finals without Shaq. He needs Shaq to win not soft Pau Gasol.

Mr. Nibbles would also like to state that Kobe was always successful as a second fiddle to a superior player I.E. Shaq and now that he has his own team he cannot lead it to great success despite a great team around him.

his performance was very weak & got worse as teh series went on....has anyone ever noticed kobe quits when things arent going his way, remember the series vs phoenix when he quit?

No, I think the Celtics' defense was what made Kobe not play at a level that he would have liked
