your life can be in danger all the time.doesn't really matter where you live.there are criminals and crazy people everywhere.but at least in america you can live freely

The united states might have a high crime rate but i thank god that i was fortunate enough to be born in this magnificent country. In my opinion there is no country on the face of the earth that is better to live in.

It also depends on where in america that you live. Larger cities will have more crime than smaller cities. Where I live, the biggest crimes are usually breaking into a car.

I think Canada's human rights record is better than the U.S.

Also, as previously mentioned, crime can happen anywhere at anytime. Just look at the poor fellow on the Greyhound bus in Manitoba who got stabbed to death and was then decapitated by his killer. Nobody is safe. Let's all just stay at home and lock our doors.

I've lived here all my life.  I don't have a problem with it.  There's more dangerous parts in the country than others such as the cities.  Because I've not been personally assaulted in any way, I'm very comfortable here.
