Do you think Lennox Lewis will come out of retirement?

I heard that Lewis saw the Klitschko-Ibragimov fight, and he was disappointed by how c**p the unification fight was.

Do you think Lennox will make a comeback to bring back some excitement to the heavyweight division with a rematch with Klitschko?

  1. nope he has made his million, says he has no desire to box again, glad he got out when he did...

  2. He remarked several times during the ''fight'' how bad both men looked and he made several comments on the state of the sport. He is 42 and from reports close to 280 in weight now so if he did he would have to train harder than ever to get back into fighting shape. Against ''Dr. Lamehammer'' he would probably have to chase Wlad around the ring seeing as the ''Urkraning Chicken'' is so scared to get hit. From what I saw I would give Lewis a better than average chance against  Klitschko. If Foreman could do it at 45 why not Lewis?

Vitali was the one Lewis fought then retired afterward. Vitali keeps raving about a ''comeback'', but either he blows out a knee or slips a disk in his back then u dont hear from after him for a couple months. Suppose to be he wants to fight the winner of Masgeav - Peter for the W.B.C. title because he has a ''Clause'' in his retirement that if he came back he would get a shot at the titleholder. Thanks to the alphabet boys we might have both of Frankenstein's monsters holding all the belts. And judging by what I have seen, Lewis or ANY heavyweight who can fight would wax either Klitschko.

  3. no he has too much common sense also his mum wouldn't let him !

p.s. lennox is a legend but he has had his time & i hope he enjoys his health/family/money & stays the h**l out of the ring.i don't care if he would beat the current champions as he has nothing to prove.

i would put money on that he doesn't return to the ring as his family have a huge part of his life & i'm sure they wouldn't want him coming back.

  4. no, lennox is enjoying his role as commentator with hbo, plus man he`s 42 yrs old, past his prime by at least 6-7 yrs

  5. no! who would train him? not manny!

  6. I hope not.  Lewis has nothing to come back for.  Even at his age he would probably be a heavy favorite against any of the current heavyweights, so there is no "challenge" for him to respond to.  He went out on top and may well be the last undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.  I think his legacy means more to him than any money he would make from a comeback (and I don't think he needs the money).

Lennox is a very good commentator.  When he makes an observation about a fight, I think viewers pay attention to him because he knows what he is talking about.  He is also a classy, well-spoken guy.

I hope Lennox stays home.  He was a great fighter and is still a great representative of his sport.  .

  7. I hope not

  8. NO.  The very topic is just one example of the fact that we dont appreciate anything of value until we no longer have it.   Lennox was a classy champion and would certainly breathe life back into the division.

However,  Lennox, always an intelligent person to begin with,  is too smart for that.  With nothing to prove he will be smart and remain with his job at HBO and enjoy retirement.

    He is surely missed.

  9. i doubt it lewis has nothing left to prove

  10. nope, there is a reason why he was in the apprentice and hosting HBO boxing. The guy is old already.

  11. ACEMAN is 100% dead right!!! I couldn't have put it better myself!! Give him the points!

  12. I don't think so.  How many of the greats came out of retirement and couldn't do it anymore?  I always respected Marvin Hagler for walkin' away and not lookin' back, sure he could have fought again, and Lennox probably could step back in and compete, but why?  He has already cemented his place in Boxing History, anything now would just tarnish that, especially if he ever lost to the likes of this bunch of heavyweights!

  13. I would love to see him to come back and fight, but he shouldnt just come to fight the ukranian fighter... he has beaten many opponents that were way better then Klitschko... Not worth his time and money... though i would love to see it...

  14. Not happening. Lennox is making plenty of money for his involvement with Celebrity Apprentice and doesnt need the money anyway.  He invested his ring earnings wisely and knows his place in history is secure.  He could probably come back and beat everyone in the top ten including the champions but there is no point. He's already been down that road and at his age 42, with a wife and children and enough money to take care of his childrens children, he has earned the retirement he is now enjoying. He will absolutely not be back.
