Do you think Lieberman committed political suicide with his comments?

Do you think Lieberman's bu++ kissing of McCain shows that (1) he wants to be his veep and is heping that Palin the hot potato gets dumped, (2) he's a cross dresser--a Republican right in Indy clothing? What do you think they promised him: cabinet post? hookers? g*y 3-some with Karl Rove and Cheney? If you're really a Republican, have the stones to register as one.

He doesn't get that he's being used like toilet paper and will be treated like it afterwards.

He's alienating himself from the Democratic party, but I don't think it is political suicide.  The people in his home state tend to like him.  As long as the people in your home state like you, you're fine.

Ah...I remember the same question was brought up a few years ago about the Iraq war issue....Democrats did give Lieberman the boot during their state's primary.  He ran as an independant and whomped Lamont (the Democrat choice).  

Sorry but real political watchers know McCain and have watched him and Bush go at it many many times.  Lieberman is right, McCain is the one canidate that won't let party get in the way of governing.

He's finished....as a Democrat anyway...

He'll never get elected by Dems again....that's for sure.

We're tired of him campaigning for Republicans for his own personal gain.

I think he has a vendetta against his own party for not nominating him in 2000.

He's more interested in serving his country than a particular political party. Our founding fathers didn't have political parties, they were afraid that they would polarize the populace and we'd end up with what we have today, voting along a party line rather than what's best for the country as a whole.
