  1. I certainly hope not.

Basbeall has already proven they are not capable of choosing the right cities to put teams in.

Somebody suggested putting a team in Miami?  What, two floundering teams in Florida is not enough?

Also, please GOD no more levels added to the playoffs.  Leave that c**p to the other lesser sports.

I see some relocations in the future, NO EXPANSION.

  2. there is not enough talent as far as pitching goes to make for another 2 teams, so it will not happen.. with too many starters not being able to go more than 6 innings, and pitchers out of high school/college being used as specialty pitchers, there just isnt enough major league pitching talent anymore

relocation is the more sane option that the MLB can play with.. I do think Indianapolis will have a baseball team soon, and i think Las Vegas (not Portland) will get a team as well..also like the Blue Sox idea, ive mulled that around on here before. I mean, how can America not have 3 teams playing America's game nopt called the Red, White, and Blue Sox

  3. i hope not.  the talent pool is thin now.

  5. What ru talking about unless ur talking about in like 2050 b/c that s the only way the giants will make the playoffs oh yeah Yankees suck.

  6. Not enough good MLB quality player's to add another team. If anything, relocate the Marlins to a real baseball environment. That would be a start.

  7. To answer your question -- yes. Not any time soon, mind. Fielding 32 teams shifts the scheduling math favorably, solves some logistical problems (while creating others), and of course there's the money involved, which the owners never can get enough of. Plus adding two teams would mollify all the dweebs who complain that the leagues are unbalanced or it's unfair or whatever little sparklettes they conceive, and if nothing else they'd have to adjust their personal complainatrons to something different.

Right now there are no viable markets for new major league teams (either by population/economy or MLB internal politics).

I disregard the offered realignment because such things, at the purely hypothetical stage, interest me not.

Expansion and realignment Yes, soon No.

  8. of course, maybe not excaclty how u put it but still could happen, but the sox would win the whole thing and win the division

  9. Even though they should, I'm sure they won't expand a team. Why? For one reason: tradition. MLB is very stubborn on the tradition part.

  10. I woudl liek to see it expand for sure and this way equal the amount of teams in both leagues, at least. I wish poor, literally, poor San Antonio would get another sports team. Spurs arent enough. I could see Indianapolis getting a team with perhaps Charlotte, Jacksonville, Miami, and even Jersey.  I say Miami cause so many top athlets come out of those Florida schools and could make up a team easily.

  11. Very creative concept but I doubt their will be any expansion teams any time soon. Teams will relocate before any more expansion is done.

  12. No. There's already a lot of team as it is. Plus, a 16 / 14 balance works. Anymore teams and that would require moving teams and balancing them out.
