  1. IT HAPPENED TODAY. U KNO AS WELL AS I , THAT NOTHING WAS TAKEN AWAY BY MCCAINS PICK.

THE TIDE IS AGAINST HIOM..... AND U KNO IT.

U REALIZED IT LAST NITE WHILE U WERE WATCHING HIS SPEECH... BTCH!!

SO SHAKE UR POM POMS.... U MAY EVN HAVE TO WEAR A SKRT.

MCCAINS GONNA NEED ALLL THE CHEERLEADRS HE CAN GET

  2. McCain preaches experience, now he picks a VP with 2 years of experience in being a governor of a state with a population of Austin Texas ?

Gov. Palin shares John McCain's commitment to overturning Roe v. Wade.................so much for womens rights !

She was chairwoman of Alaska's Oil and Gas Conservation Commission............so much for lowering fuel cost at the pumps !

She described herself Friday as "commander in chief of the Alaska National Guard"..............so lets give her the full American military ?

McCain just sank his ship.....it didnt hurt Obamas sails one bit !

  3. Once again our future President,John McCain has shown superb judgement in choosing Palin to be his vice president.

  4. John McCain has selected Sarah Palin for his Vice Presidential candidate. The 44 year old first term Alaska governor is younger and has less experience in office than Barack Obama does. Considering McCain's and the Republican's main argument against Obama is inexperience and youth, What do you think of McCain's pick?

  5. LMAO!  You wish!!  Women are not stupid. Not just any old skirt will repalce Hillary, nor will it replace our right to Choose. I'm still reeling from this weeks DNC Convention.

    Obama/Biden '08 hands down!

  6. she is awesome!

  7. No.  McCain is obviously a very manipulative man though so Obama should watch out.

  8. That is true. But Obama's speech wasn't anything special.

To me the most interesting part of the show was when Michael MacDonald screwed up the words to "America the Beautiful."

("America, America, God shed *my* grace on thee") lol

  9. 34 million ppl watched that speech i think alot of ppl remember it

  10. Personally I think the conventions are Boring, boring, boring.  No wind in the sails anyway.

The shock and awe of McCain's unconventional choice will also wear off in 2 days.

Its a back and forth game...

  11. Let me just say, that I'm not a republican nor democrat.  ---I think it's very interesting that many republicans were saying that Obama was taking to long to choose his VP and he was being dramatic about it, but did you stop to look at how long it took Mccain?  No.  Still, Obama's speech was excellent in my opinion.  He may not be as great as a lot of people think he is, but I could say the same about Mccain.  I'm voting for Obama because I feel like he'll make life better.  Mccain is great at taking jabs at people and he'd probably be a good writer for 17 magazine.  But with Obama, maybe my dad will be home from Iraq for my graduation, maybe my grandma will be able to get health insurance and she won't die afterall.  Maybe I'll have a shot at a great job when I finish school.  I feel like Obama cares about the issues, not Paris Hilton.

  12. To recover the momentum, the Messiah needs to head to New Orleans and calm the winds of Gustav.

  13. No. Nor does it matter, as the election is not today, but two months from now.

I remember it. I have an attention span longer than 3 seconds.

I'm not talking about McCain and Palin, except to remark to my roomie when I learned McCain had picked a female that McCain had picked a female, and in answering questions here.

Did he time hie announcement to "take the news cycle"? Of course he did. And, yes, the morons on the news will no doubt follow along, like the mindless sheep they've proven themselves to be, lo these many years.

Am I disappointed not to see questions here about his speech? Yes, very. I specifically came to this category today hoping to answer questions about his speech.

But since the main refrain against him was "he's never specific" (always a lie), and his speech had very specific plans, I'm thinking those folks have been silenced and are spending their time coming up with some other bat-sh*t crazy complaint.

  14. oh heavens...just the chatter up to the time of the announcement took the wind out of Odumbers sails.

  15. Yes.

  16. Maybe for the guy voters looking at her a$$ets but i think woman just dont like her. Truthfully i dont even remember her running .

  17. The shock of the pick, rather than the pick itself, is what took SOME wind out of his sails, but give it a couple of days and it will blow over.  McCain needed a newsmaker, badly.

  18. It has filled the Liberals on this sites sails with hate. That I already see.

KingBK: Can you answer a question without a copy and paste? How very Obama-esque of you.

Glenford.. All caps? That is a sure sign of anger and desperation.

  19. Obama's Titanic is now taking on water and the Dem's can't get it pumped out fast enough

What speech? Oh that old worn out liberal speech, I have forgotten it already

McCain Palin in 08 the smart and intelligent choice who both have real experience and judgement

  20. actually it's getting a lot of talk today but more on how ridiculous his pick is so its not positive talk

  21. McCain's selection of Palin has guaranteed his defeat in the November elections.

  22. It blew great big holes in em, we heard a massive bang here in Houston, some say it was just thunder but I think it was Obama's campaign ship hitting the rocks after the spot light spun 90 degrees to the new Republican VP!!!

  23. I remember it. Who cares who McCain picked. Biden is way better than Palin

And for the person who thinks Obama is racist/sexist, you're the one implying he has Arab roots, which would be okay even if it meant anything. The women in your street are probably 95 years old, and like McCain because they're shallow minded like you, and won't go past Obama's NAME!

  24. Definitely. I think it was a good choice. She doesn't actually have less experience than Obama, if you look her up and research her background you'll see that she has more than either Obama or Biden. Don't count on CNN to tell you this though.

  25. LOL the only thing Obama doesn't lack in this race is wind he has plenty of that.

  26. YES YES YES!!! mccain insured his election by chooseing her. the only negative is she is from a small town in alaska and that wont get obama very far at all. plus all the pissed off hilary voters are gonna go for mccain just to gat back at obama

  27. The wind in Obama's sails gets a little weaker every time his promises and policies come under valid scrutiny. McCain's pick for the VP will definitely have him and his entourage getting the oars out.

  28. I think that it's great for Obama/Biden ticket. Because by choosing a running mate with no foreign policy experience, his argument against Obama's inexperience is very weak now. Obama's running mate Biden is highly experienced in foreign policy. Therefore,Obama can lean on Biden to help him make decisions on foreign policy matters. As for McCain,he's 72 years old with a history of health problems. If he dies in office, then Palin will take over as president with very little foreign policy experience. If Obama ends up not finishing his term, Biden will be ready to take over as president because of his extensive foreign policy experience.

But yeah...by choosing inexperienced Palin for his running mate, McCain can't argue about Obama's inexperience. McCain's judgment can be really criticized now.

Also...my first impression about McCain's pick is that he's targeting women voters including especially disgruntled Hillary supporters. However, her strong pro-life record won't sit well with the women that are prochoice. Her strong conservatism won't sit right with liberals. Therefore, his pick might actually backfire. His pick can be seen as insulting womens' intelligence too.

  29. I don't think that the one being talked about is always a good thing. I have already heard and read many negative things about McCain's pick. Personally, I think that it may ultimately be the final nail in McCain's coffin.

  30. I think it may hurt mccain in some ways, made me think twice about my vote, but still beats obama...

  31. That was the whole purpose of picking today to name a VP.  If he did it earlier in the week, he'd be accused of trying to disrupt the DNC.  Doing it now, he just pulls the attention of the talking heads over to his camp with no negative backlash.
