The VP speech only tied one. All others still favor Obama.

  1. No. I sure hope the teleprompter breaks. Without it he will be doing a soft shoe on stage.

  2. Maybe.

Give the polls a few days to catch up. Besides in 2000 and 2004 polls showed Dems leading by a fairly large margin.

  3. McCain is the worst speaker I have ever seen.  There is no way he will come close to topping any of the dems speeches.

    He's like frankenstien.

His campaign is already trying to lower everyones expectations because they know he can't touch Obama.

  4. McCain's speech will most assuredly help him in these mysterious 'polls', depending of course on how well he performs.

It's funny that others say he can't touch Obama in speaking, is that why Obama declined the town hall style debates that McCain invited him to?......interesting. Also at the Saddleback Forum McCain's answers and presentation trampled all over The Big O's. In fact, the host had to continue to tell Obama to give real, concise answers not his usual 'speeches' for each question.

I digress, Yes, if he makes the great points he has continued to make throughout his campaign his numbers will continue to rise.

  5. Probably. At the end of the speech, when Palin comes on stage, that will help his poll numbers. Do people love her or what?

  6. Yes.

  7. Summer and Zardoz: I'm laughing... you guys are on target!

He is not a powerful speaker. He'll bring up being a P.O.W. and say the word Maverick about 30 times.

It'll be all you expect... afterwards they'll all eat butter scotch pudding and go home to watch Murder She Wrote.
