Do you think McCain chose Palin because he wants to drill in Alaska?

I'm watching her and I'm having a hard time understanding why she was chosen. Do you think it's because McCain is hoping if he wins, with her as VP, he will have an easier time being able to drill?

  1. He voted against drilling in ANWR, plus, the VP has no say in that, even the President needs the vote of congress.
