No.  I think it's very risky for him.  I understand why he did it...youth, plus a woman, plus she has a reputation for being a "maverick."  I just think she might be the wrong person to attract disenchanted dems, since she is so anti-choice.

i think that he is trying to steal the democratic supporters of hilary away from obama by showing that he isn't afraid to have a woman as a running mate as obama was.  whether it will work or not is another question

nice usage of terms.  People were saying that about the Hillary Clinton speech in those exact words.  And no it isnt.  What will happen is when Hillary Clinton campaigns for Obama shes gonna pull all those fans back.  Doesnt take a whole lot like "dont vote for a woman because its available, be here for me when I run in 2012!  She will have tricks up her sleeve to pull the diehard fans back, as long as she is committed like she said, its Obamas race to win.
