I just don't get it. Did he think that just by picking a woman he would get the Hillary supporters? Seems a little shallow, doesn't it? Is it possible that he has picked up a crack addiction?

  1. I'm in the same boat as everyone else, I have no idea about her other than what I've read on Wiki and her website.

"Alright, alright everybody, just pick someone, I don't give a rat's ***, Let's see, starting in order there's Alabama... but that's a little too much of a 'Deliverance' state... Alaska ... whoo hoo!!! Good enough we got somebody."

  2. He picked Governor Palin for many different reasons.

    1. She would appeal to the conservatives.  Choosing to have baby with down syndrome impresses them, because only 10% of women make that choice.

Choice should be the key word, but it is not.

    2.  If her lack of experience is questioned, republicans can divert the question by attacking Obama's experience or state the media is being sexist. Either is true, but it works for them.

    3.  They think that Clinton 18 million will go to her. Most will not go because most vote on issues not gender.

    4.  She and her many issues take the spotlight off of Obama. But it is better for Obama to be out of the spotlight for awhile.

The problem with the above is the fact that she was not truly vetted and now his judgment is being questioned.  Rightfully so!

  3. McCain selected a virtual unknown without submitting her to a complete vetting process.  Most bookies are betting Palin won't last until November, and it appears McCain has at last pandered to a group who are able to see him for his hypocrisy.

  4. Judging by the publicity she's getting, the rabid attacks from the left, and the amount of money McCain's has raised since he picked her, I would say yes.

  5. Just wait, when Sarah makes the country fall in love with her just like the people of Alaska, it will show that the McCain campaign made the right choice,  she's awesome and people will love her.  Its about her being a maverick and McCain trying to get back to those roots.  She is as far away from Washington-as-usual as you're gonna get and a sharp contrast to Obama's(peace be unto him) running mate who has been politics as usual for 40 years.

The real CHANGE in this election is Sarah Palin.

  6. Yeah, she's away from "Washington-As-Usual" because she's never been there.

  7. Of course McCain made a mistake - a colossal one to boot.

However, you are going to get nothing but party-line lock-step answers from cons who will alternately sing the glorious praises of Scary Sarah and drink the GOP boo berry kood-aid as they type.

    Look.

A year and a half ago, this is were Sarah Palin worked:

I've seen Tastee-Freezes that looked more impressive.

OTOH, a year and a half ago, this is where Barack Obama worked:

Now I'll be the first to admit that the Wasilla City Hall has a much cooler sign on it than the US Capitol Building does, but cool signs aren't everything.

I find it completely laughable that cons keep desperately trying to convince everyone - and I highly suspect  themselves, too - that Sarah Palin has anywhere near the qualifications to be VP, let alone those even remotely similar to Barack Obama.

Compared to Palin, Obama looks and acts like a seasoned elder statesman and cons know it.

  8. His mental illness is showing.

  9. He's shallow or cynical. Either HE'S that dumb, or he's banking that HILLARY'S BASE is that dumb. To tell the truth, it's probably some of both at work in the future of Sarah Palin.
