  1. To my benefit I think.

Mack Cane does not. As usual the Republicans are using the wait and see attitude as to the Republican convention and the landfall of Gustav. Unlike the disaster of Katrina and her aftermath, and since this is an election year, response to Gustav is forward thinking, as preparations have begun to move people out of harms way before he hits. Remember the response was 7 days before anyone showed up after Katrina, Bush flew over the mess a couple days after Katrina, to view the damage. But never showed up in New Orleans, where the damage was the worst. Instead he showed up in Mississippi, to tell personally, what a great job Brown was doing for victims. It was a token response to a great disaster, and he failed the test miserably. I'm not saying there wasn't damage in Mississippi, it was bad there as well. People are still picking up the pieces there, as in New Orleans. Let's remember Katrina and all those who were ignored for so long.

Remember this is an election year. Things are always dealt with differently in an election year.

  2. Politics comes before people's lives

  3. McCain doesnt have the ability to postpone the RNC. McCain is only a Senator and the Nominee, he does not run the GOP so the decision is completely out of his hands.

They'll have to wing it... because the other side is sharpening their talking points about it as we speak.

Let's enjoy the show and see how they handle it.  :-)
