He seems way too reasonable to choose an awful candidate like that wackjob Palin.

  1. Rove pick her.  McCain wanted Lieberman, so says Rove.

  2. Evidently you live in the dark.  The news all day was praising her speech and speaking positively towards her.  hmmmm, strange how you differ from so many political experts.

  3. Well, he basically had no choice. He was going to pick someone else. But his advisers said he needed someone who would energise their party. So he was I guess you can say forced or suckered into picking Palin.

They also thought that she would be able to get those Clintons supporters. I think this plan did not work as good as they were wishing for.

  4. I think McCain only picked her to get Hilary's voters

  5. Give me 44 good reasons why Sarah Palin, you know the one who is more experienced then the Democratic disgrace you call a canidate, is a 'wackjob'?

  6. She was chosen for him by his handlers.  At first he wasn't happy about it, but her reception and the support of the uber conservative nutjobs like herself, he's coming around.

  7. she has more administrative experience than both obama and biden combined.........

she is going to surprise us during the campaign.......

can't wait for the debates, poor biden, did you ever win an argument with your wife?

  8. She was chosen, so now when Obama loses, it won't look like it was on purpose. It will just look like he got beat by a woman. Brilliant I think. Too bad no one told Obama. He still thinks he can win. Democracy at its finest.

  9. Well he was trained to do as he is told. My guess is that Rove got to him.

  10. Neither; he only confirmed his poor judgment.

  11. I think he wanted her to be VP and took a huge risk.

And it paid off bigtime -- even to my surprise!

    Raising McCain '08!

What an admirable life this man has had.

  12. He wanted Joe Lieberman.  I think he was told they would protest him nomination if he chose him.  In all honesty, I really believe they gave him a short list of people to choose from, and he chose her because she fits his 'standard' (pretty and younger than his current wife).

  13. God, I hope he picked her.  The alternative is ghastly, because the last thing we need is another "REPUBLICAN INSIDER MANAGED WHITEHOUSE" where yet another leader is out to lunch while his staff covertly makes his decisions for him.

  14. Come on...do you really need to ask this. Do I really live in a country where people are that stupid?

He picked Palin to try and pick up the women votes especially the ones that went for Clinton.

McCain had only met Palin ONCE before he asked her to run with him.. Not sure if I want a guy like that running my country.
