  1. It is all politics and show biz. And we are buying the show.

  2. I think it was an excellent choice.  Let me be the first to point out that every question that pops up here demeaning her demonstrates a variety of things in particular, the fact that you folks are deathly afraid of her and you realize that she has a danged good chance to become your next VP.

It's interesting to see just how hypocritical many of the left wingers are.  Many point out inexperience and yet, are running a man for president who has less experience than she does.

You attempt to point out her weaknesses and apparently haven't bothered to read that she fights the system, regardless of whether or not it's the Democrats or Republicans.

I just saw someone leave a link to their blog, depicting her as a cartoon character and putting her down by stating that she's not like Hillary.  If I placed a cartoon character of Obama on a blog, that same person would probably call me a racist and a hater.

Lastly, we don't want a Hillary type, we want a woman who will fight corruption on both sides of the fence, regardless of political affiliation, just as she has successfully done in her own state.  And let me add, we absolutely do not want any extreme left wingers infiltrating our party and ruining it like they have the Democratic party.  The Republican party is not a party for socialists.

  3. Very much so, good choice.

  4. I think he did..but I guess by your ill informed comment you disagree.

I must be psychic or just very astute huh?

  5. Yes the best choice he could have made. Thanks Mr.McCain.

  6. I am still in shock over his choice. I definitely think that he dropped the ball on this one. It is not the fact that she is a woman but with his choice of woman. There are well more qualified women than this one.

  7. terrible choice.

also none of these people posting about her didn't even know about her until today and yet they say "look at all the great things she has done" like they have known her for years

  8. I think he made an absolute great choice on picking his VP. McCain knows what he's doing, and he's doing it right<3:]

  9. It was a poor and an impulsive decision.

  10. She was a great choice.

Compared to Hussein Obamama, who has ZERO executive EXPERIENCE, she is immentently qualifed.

  11. Good if you are a Democrat...

    Obama/Biden 08

  12. She wouldn't have been my first choice.  But allow me to put his choice into perspective.  At least he didn't pick Jeb Bush, after all.

  13. Yes, it was an excellent choice for VP. But first....

How incredibly sexist. How can you be so anti-female? Are you scared of seeing a woman in the whitehouse??? Women have fought for years to make it into fields that only men have been in for years. This statement by you is so intolerant. I don't think you should be so gender-biased.

(Heh heh! Hey, the dems pull out the race and gender card constantly...why can't we??? LOL!)

All of the above - my answer, and this question - is proof that the dems and libs are totally unprincipled when it comes to their stands such as gender issues and such. If they were consistent, they'd be applauding Palin's nomination.

For well over a year now, whenever I'd be talking to a democrat and I'd say, "There's no way in heck I'd ever vote for Hillary Clinton," without exception the first thing out of their mouth would be, "What's the matter, are you scared of seeing a woman in the white house?!?" They'd say nothing about Hillary's experience, ability, etc., it was always immediately something about women in the white house, gender issues, etc..

This is why this was a BRILLIANT move by the McCain campaign. this has the libs totally thrown off center. They don't know whether to condemn or applaud McCain's VP choice. The first response Obama's campaign made was condemning. Later in the day they did a total about-face and made a gracious statement.

Other than that, great post by RandyRedwood. He pretty much hit all the other points.

  14. He made an excellent choice. No friends as terrorists, and her church isn't run by a racist preacher.

And  she didn't go down the the Big Muddy & drop a line in and chew a sprig of grass, she ran a commercial fishery in some of the most hostile waters in the world. She's got more leadership experience than Obama & she's not running for president.

Personally I'd rather have a VP that can withstand -50 degree temperatures than a president that has trouble body surfing in Hawaii.

  15. It gives me doubts whether he wants the job.  I don't have anything

against the lady he chose to run with him, but it does seem that now is not the time to take such chances.  A person with little or no

experience in foreign affairs should not be second in command simply

for the reason this person may actually become first in command in a moment's notice. For this reason, I say, "No!"

I am for the the good of my country and as far as I can see right now, neither candidate is taking that into consideration!   We are in for tough times!

  16. That's one way of looking at it, but it was a phenomenal choice!!!

It shows he wants real change instead of lip service.

It gets rid of the "old man" criticism. She's not an "old man".

If the Dems bring up her inexperience, it's an invitation to remind the American people that Obama has no experience.

Are the Dems going to play the gender card? If they do, they look disingenuous in their support for Clinton.

She has a history of taking care of corruption and keeping a firm line on a budget.

    It was an awesome choice!!!

  17. I think that unfortunately with the focus unjustly focused on Obama being black, that the racists even if they do not approve of a woman in a high position will be swayed by the female VP. It is the same as Hilary Clinton, if she had been the nominated democratic choice McCaine would definitely get in.I do not know the lady he chose, but it was very strategic.
