  1. McCain's age will absolutely effect the way people vote especially considering his choice for Vice President.

  2. No. I don't think so.

He has more aces than GW Bush 4 years ago.

He will win anyway, and easier than Bush I believe.

  3. yes

  4. At first it was a non-issue.  Sure, Senator McCain is 72 years old and is a cancer survivor, but given a solid Vice Presidential pick it really shouldn't matter.

The circumstances, however, have changed with his pick of Governor Palin.  It shows that he still has the fighter jock mentality of feeling like he will be living forever and an utter disregard for the position of Vice President.  It clearly shows that he lacks judgment.

Does this have to do with age? No it doesn't.  The ramifications, however, are that if something happens to a President McCain, an exceptionally unready Vice President who has stated on video that she doesn't really know what the Vice President does becomes President of the United States.  The catch phrase "one heartbeat away from the Presidency" has taken on much, much more meaning.  Now it is a matter of national security that we do not elect Senator McCain to be President of the United States.

  5. yes, mr. mc cain almost doubles the age of abama. every day he is entering into an older age and the physical deterioration that accompanies seniority..

  6. Yes!  his age will definitely affect the way people vote, most are already speculating if he will survive his first four year term in office (providing he wins).

  7. His age is a big factor, especially considering the physical torment he's been through in Nam.  He is also carrying too much weight for his height and age.  I don't think he will be up to the stress an extreme situation could bring as President.

  8. His age is one of the reasons that I won't be voting for him.

  9. i feel that many people are just using his age as a reason not to vote for him. but i really think that is doesn't matter. a John Mccain has a good head on his shoulders (not saying that Obama doesn't) but i would prefer a president who is more experienced with military things. To me it doesn't matter how old the president is or what party they belong to, he or she just has to have a good head on his or her shoulders and know what they are talking about. Obama would make a good president but I personally think that Mccain would be better. Age should not matter, it should just matter on what you think about their views. Some people probably think that because he is 72 he could die while in office if he were to win, while others think that because he is 72 he is more wise and has more experiance. But, at any age there is a risk or dieing especially when your the president. And some of the wisest people i know are not that old. So age should not really matter.

Bottom line: No i do not think Mccain's age will effect the way people vote. Well at least it shouldn't in my eyes.

    * If your talking about Palin's experiance then you should know, she has more experiance than Obama

  10. YES. Not only McCain's age but his VP choice as well.

  11. Yes, Because when I discussed the election with my mom  who is 89,she said he was too old. It also seems to me ,that if you watch him close, he seems to have the begining of demencia.

  12. YES, how can a stiff-necked old man over 70 leaning on a dashing woman wins a presidential race in  the  21st  senturey. He should go to rest himself in his farm that may give him extra 5 years of life. Not only Chuch Norris but for everbody knows the real meaning of old age. Fruitlessness, Leaves shed off and stem get dry I think humans are like trees. If they win then god help America

  13. Absolutely,he`s a very big risk.

  14. A Gallup poll conducted in mid-June found that 23% of voters believe McCain's age will making a "less effective" president.

65% said it would make no difference, while 11% said it would make him more effective.

  15. Certainly it can play a part being that he has had cancer numerous times in the past and that his VP selection is raw and is factually new to the foreign scene

  16. most certianly Ancient One could die at any moment and than we'd be doubly screwed with Palin who not only has little experience but I feel in my hearts of hearts would be an absolutely terrible president.

  17. without sentinment,YES.around the world people now see the reason to seek new ideas.

  18. I agree with some others in that originally I didn't think twice about McCain's age, but with his selection for VP running mate, his age is now a big factor.  I don't care whether his running mate is female or male, but I do care about her lack of experience.  I'm afraid his choice for running mate did not help him out, in my opinion.

  19. YES...Mccain "is" going to make a good President!

Mccain has been through more stress than any President ever has and ever will...prisoner of war!

Keep in mind that Palin (VP) has "more" experience than Obama (Pres), so the "heart beat" theory just does not hold up!

No I am not enthralled with Mcain, I just beleive he makes a more realistic President

  20. Absolutely! He's 72, has had multiple bouts of malignant melanoma, has a wicked intense temper, and appears to be way more subdued lately. Perhaps he's feeling his age? Furthermore, the job is killer. Compare pictures of Clinton and Bush at inauguration and at the end of their first terms. They look more than a little worn! His choice for Vice-President certainly doesn't help, either, given her lack of experience. Even if I agreed with his policies, I wouldn't risk voting for him for fear of Palin having to step in and lead an ENTIRE NATION!
