Do you think Mears will be in the 5 car next yr. and if not who will replace him and where will he go?

Sunday at Sonoma one of the announcers said that it was rumored Casey was told he will not be returning to HMS next year. It made me start thinking and i want everyone elses opinion. *NOTE: Prolly will never happen but how cool would it be for Hendrick if Tony left JGR and took over the 5.*

In my opinion I think that Martin Truex Jr is the best fit. As a Race fan and a fan of Dale Jr and Martin Jr (because i'm from New Jersey and I know Martin) I think that he fits the mold at HMS and He gets along Really well with Dale Jr and Dale Got Him To Go to DEI and Now Dale I think will Try to Get Him over to HMS.

It was announced today that Mark Martin will leave DEI next year and drive the 5 car. Aric Almirola will drive the 8 car full time. Where Mears will go is yet to be confirmed, but he will probably go to drive the 2nd car for Bill Davis Racing. Or since Labonte decided to stay with Petty, drive the 33 car for Richard Childress.

Well since they said that for sure he was leaving then Yes I believe Mears is leaving Hendricks. I believe that Junior is going to try and bring up Brad Keselowski (SP) for the ride, but that is just a guess.

I think that that would be great!i mean can you see that team....Jeff(like the gratest races ever)Jimmie(a really good races who has a lot of win and 2 championships and he hasnt been around that long)Jr(the most popualr driver and he isnt that bad of a racer!)and then Tony...that would be a great team and i can beat that all the other teams would be jeolous!

I think its pretty safe to say Casey wont be back at Hendrick next year. Everyone is saying that Mark Martin will be in the #5 next season, which I think is awesome. I would love to see Mark be able to run for a championship in top equipment again.

And as for Casey.... I really don't know where he will go. I really don't care either as long as it isn't the #33 for RCR. I actually think DEI would be his best option unless Yates decides to go to 3 full time teams next season. Sorry but other than that I really can't think of anyone else that would hire him.

edit: And sorry to disappoint you but Tony wont be going to HMS.

First off, to the person who said Logano...NO.  Absolutely not, Hendrick doesn't need that cocky SOB.  Leave him for Gibbs, since that's the kind they like over there.

To answer the question...rumor is Mark Martin will be in the 5, either full time or splitting seat time with Brad Keselowski (my favorite choice).

I asked that to and i also saw it on sonoma and he is gone he is not good enough for hendrick nad I hope Brad K. replaces him.
