  1. No way , Mendis bowled well got 8 wkts in his test debt and 10 wkt haul in his second test. He has just played 2 matches and he has archived 18 wickets. Isnt that amazing for you?

  2. no doubt he will emerge as a good cricketer

  3. Batsmen are getting used to him. But he can still be dangerous. Per se, he might have already used all the arrows in his quiver. Now he has to invent newer ones. Batsmen still will be wary of Mendis, and until he is fully decoded he will remain so.

  4. he is wearing off

  5. it is wearing off

  6. Ya I think there was to much hype about his bowling .

Yes no doubt he is a  good and unorthodox bowler but that does not mean that he is an unplayable super hero........

  7. in 1st match he claimed 8 wkts & in 2nd 10 wkts.

wonder what do you mean by that ,...=wearling off ,..lol~

  8. i think its wearing off, fifty percent already worn off ~

i don't think he will have an impact on the 3rd test match result!

    hope it helps !

    god bless!

    best wishes!

  9. NO i dont think the mendis charm is wearing off....

he got a great number of wickets in 2 matches and is soo calm and doesnt react to pressure atall which i think is great....a great find for sri lanka...

  10. yes, Mendis with out a doubt is a very good bowler

  11. It is too early to make assessment about him as he has just played only 2 test matches.  One will have to wait and see how he performs outside

    Sri Lanka against other teams

  12. It's not that Mendis's charm is wearing off, it's just that the batsmen are getting used to his style of bowling! Thats the reason why Viru played well against him in the second test! I hope our other Indian batsmen also pick him soon....Score well against him! By the way, his performance has been good till now, he took 8 wickets in the first test and 10 wickets in the second test!

  13. Once they get used to him, it will wear off surely.

you will notice from this section that Indian users are not unduly alarmed by the matches. Most of the Q of who will win/ lose/ getting runs...  is from sL users. They are more excited even after the Indian win in 2nd Test.

edit: Madhu, even Harbhajan got 10 wickets.

  14. what u r talking about.. he prove himself in last Test too.. 10 wicket in the match is excellent performance.. srilanka bowling was good. they loss because of their batting

  15. He is wearing off. But now batsman are playing him more confidently. Although he is getting more wickets. But his mystery has been almost solved. He is a great bowler. I want to watch him against Australians. If he performs against them also. Then He can replace Murlidharan in next coming years.

  16. Mendis with out a doubt is a very good bowler,Mendis on spinning tracks will always remain a threat to any team but now Indian batsmen have measured the bowling of mendis and the Q of him being the match winner does not exist.

India wins the decider to clinch the series is very much on the cards.

  17. no

  18. He took 8 wickets in the first test match

    AND

He took 10 wickets in the second test match.

If you think these figures mean that ' Mendis' charm is wearing off ', i'd like to see Mendis when his 'charm' is at its full potential.

Mendis is doing a fine job for Sri Lanka, it would be inconsiderate to ask for more from him.

  19. Are you crazy? in 1st match he claimed 8 wkts & in 2nd 10 wkts.

Please remember he is only 2 tests old & has already claimed 18 wkts.

He or any other player cannot win match for the side it is a team game boss

  20. You are right that Mendis bowling is wearing off and our batsmen are set to win the rubber.
