  1. Yes

  2. no

  3. Mia could be used as a nickname or Amelia (which isn't on the list) or maybe Mariella... But If you like Sophie, just call her Sophie...

  4. It's not really a nickname for any of those names. In Israel, it is a feminine short form of Michal. Among Scandinavians, it is a short form of Maria.

  5. Not really...

    I love Sophia, and Sophie is an adorable nickname!

    Gabriela, I have a friend named Gabriela, Gaby is also an adorable nickname.

    Mariella, Mary or Ella are nice nicknames.

    I love Amelia, why not that?? It can be shorten to Mia.

    xox- Julie

  6. it could b used better as a nickname for Mariella.

    but i like all ur names

  7. I would say it could be a nickname for Gabriela!

  8. Not really.. Why not just name her Mia Gabrielle!  :)

  9. Not for Sophia or Gabriella. It could be one for Mariella but here are some suggestive nicknames for them:

    Sophia- Sophie

    Gabriella- Gabby or Ella

    Mariella- Mari, Mia, or Ella

    Hope I helped!

  10. it totally goes with gabriela mia

  11. Nope especially because the first 2 don't even have an M in them.

    Sophia=Sophie or Soph

    Gabriela=Gabby, Ella, or Gab

    Mariella=Ella or Mari

    All cute names though!

  12. not gabriella since it doesnt have an m or even an "ia", together, at least.

    Mariella, yes, i guess

    and yes to sophia, too. Mariela is probably the best.

    if you like Mia, why not name your baby Mia? or Amelia or Melissa !

  13. no.. doesn't sound like it :P i like the name sophia too, why don't you just nickname her sophie? :)

  14. Since Mia means "my" in Italian, you could really use it as a term of endearment for your daughter no matter what name you give her.

    However, if you want to give her a name that can be logically *shortened* to Mia, I don't think Sophia and Gabriella work.

    Mariella could be shortened to Mia, since all the letters are present (and even in the right order).  The names are actually historically connected.  Mia came into use as a name not through the Italian word but through German and Scandinavian -- it was originally a diminutive for Maria.  Mariella is the Italian diminutive for Maria.  Since both names are forms of Maria, and since Mariella is an Italian name and Mia is an Italian word, I think Mia makes a great nickname for Mariella.

  15. WHY DONT U JUST NAME THE KID MIA?

  16. i didn't know Mia was a nickname, i like it just as it is

  17. Uhh no, but maybe for Jemia

  18. what about sofie?
