To be honest you cannot tell a muslim from an indian. I have a friend whos Indian who mistakenly gets called "p**i" even though he's not a muslim - hes an atheist really!

Even arfricans are more helpful and kind to our society (not all you might say).

I felt so sorry for him and i could belive how people can be mistaken like this.

No offence sorry but lately on the news I saw the Youngest terrorist aged 16 who is muslim pakistani, get arrested. Now that that certainly gives a bad name to other pakistanis especially other asians who would never do such a thing. This fear in our mind leads to one answer: All muslims are terrorists which is typical thinking in our time.

People just these days cannot tell the difference and it leads to racial hatred and stuff.

I would say the Turkish who are muslims are more respectful and leniet than pakistanis to our society! Im sorry if it has offended you but I just see it as this!

Ofcourse your obvious answer would be to deport the pakistanis but thats the easy way out.

Could it be the religion or could it be the way the people are treated?

What have we done/they done.

  1. lol ive been called p**i the other day an im half carribean lol but the guy who called me p**i was drunk so...but yeh i completely agree with you, i put a question like this up the other day but i got loads of answers saying i was racist against muslims (maybe i didn't word the question as politely as u lol). i personally find pakastanis more respectful and leniet than turks to our society, turks are pretty sexist i think...

    edit:

oh commoooooon!! whats with all the thumbs down? bloody h**l!

  3. **** you jerk!

if you dont know how to answer then dont!

  4. Well your right. Not every Muslim is a "terrorist" or holds a gun under their arms. Like c'mon. They have a normal life too. Life is so much more than just giving names to innocent people. I think people should get this straight in their mind the true facts. If you bring up the example of a 16 year old pakistani muslim who is a "terrorist" then why don't you bring other guys' names up who shot so many people at Virginia Tech university, Kimveer Gill it was who shot the entire group of students, and other young men, why aren't they considered as "terrorists"

It's like the defination of the word Terrorists is someone who is Muslim.

It basically means that anyone who brings a terror or fear in someone by their actions is a terrorist!

I hope i got my point clear

  5. Well you friend was more offended because he was called a 'Pakistani' and he is from India, you would get the same reaction if you called a Pakistani an Indian. This has nothing to do with religion. It would be the same if you called an Irishman English or the other way round.

The term 'p**i' also is offensive because it actually generalizes the People from South Asia. You will never see a Turkish Man or an Arab man called a p**i.

This is simply racism towards your friend not because of religion Because a Pakistani can be Hindu, Christian and other faith, Same way an Indian can be a Muslim too but this because of his Ethnic origins or his parents and Society gives people a Bad name.

  6. Firstly, if you have as many Asian friends as I do, you generally can tell the difference between Pakisatnis and Indians.

On your second point, I can't be bothered to make the effort to explain to someone with your opinions why you are completely wrong...it would take too much time and wouldn't be worth the effort.

  7. Islam is a religion, not a race. And yes, many people from the Indian subcontinent are assumed to be Muslims.

However, there are many 'middle of the road'  Muslims who are not fanatical. Not all Muslims are potential terrorists.

What's the 'Even' mean in your second paragraph? That smacks of racism. Many Africans are Muslims and some are fanatical. Nigeria has states which adhere to the Sharia, stoning women and men for adultery and apostasy (conversion to another religion).

Most Turks are more modern in their interpretation of Islam, but not all.

You cannot deport 'Pakistanis', because many of the marginalised youngsters who are easily attracted to extremism, were born and bred in the UK and have full UK passports.

We have to start building bridges and accepting people of different religions into our community.

  8. yes it is true that the muslims, only a few because in reality their religion is even more peace full than christianity and is none violent, are giving other asians bad names and giving US reasons to be wary and (yes everyone) even racist..

but in all fairness it is only a very small minority of muslims that are involved in any type of terrorism.

if an immigrant wants to move into the country they should only be allowed if they have a profession we need and are willing to work. if they come over and refuse to work they should be shot and if they ask for welfare they should be shot.
