Do you think N.A.S.A. made a mistake by sending monkeys into space, now most people think.........?

Hey if a monkey can flick a couple of switches and fly a spaceship how hard can it be for the human astronauts?

  1. NASA never actually stopped sending chimps into space.

little known fact:  Chimps, upon entering orbit, are force-evolved by radiation into astronauts... pseudo-humans, with much the same intelligence and far greater courage.

    Neil Armstrong = Zippy

    John Glenn = Bonzo

    Alan Shepard = Cuddles

    "Buzz" Aldrin = Bubbles

    Don't tell anyone.

  2. mars is occupied by an underground for lack of words "agency".Our government has been the cowards of the county as far back as Egyptian pharohs claiming to be "gods"-NASA is spineless,to the point the astronauts want to tell all they know but constantly being hushed -as well as the army/navy/airforce/marines that we as the people of the people choose to employ as our protectors-and i can assure you the monkey does not wish to be in a non-gravitational pull/situation his senses are altered, and monkey throw up is probably not pleasant

  3. Well these people don't know how simple early space crafts were. The Apollo astronauts didn't do much on the lunar module... Apollo 13 aside. Mission control did most of the monitoring, and gave them instructions on how to fix problems. When it came to landing on the moon, a monkey couldn't do that. They needed a pilot to steer it and land it safely. The monkeys didn't land on the moon, they were just sent up into outer space. They only needed to click a few switches, and press a few buttons. It was hard to teach the monkeys these basic skills, but they weren't doing as much work as the Apollo astronauts did on their journey.

Nowadays the space ships are a whole lot more advanced, and a monkey can't do it... it takes seven astronauts to work the space shuttles... monkeys would probably sit around throwing f***s at each other. Space technology is a whole lot more advanced, and people do more work on the space shuttles than the astronauts did on the Apollo missions. There's a whole lot more technology, and many functions and maneuvers require a user input.

Its not NASA's fault, its just the ignorance of sun people.

  4. Yes, it was Doctor Zera who went to the Moon first, followed by Cornelius!

  5. yes, offcourse monkeys are very well trained but

they does not know  to handle critical stituation that could not train. but human is not like that!!?

  6. What you're saying is no longer true. The ships that are used in space travel these days are much more advanced, as is the science of space travel itself.

The first few flights were strictly experimental and monkeys were used in lieu of humans. When humans first went into space travel they were quarantined upon re entry for fear of contamination. That's how little we knew about space. Imagine, getting contaminated in a vacuum, impossible on it's face.

  7. The chimpanzees did not fly the spacecraft.  They were trained to operate a sort of "busybox" in response to stimulus in order to determine whether the environment of space had any effect on their ability to carry out a conditioned behavior.  Those controls had nothing to do with the operation of the spacecraft.

At the time, this was deemed necessary because it was not entirely understood, or proven by evidence, how a complex mammalian organism would react to the space environment, specifically to the absence of gravity.

Most of the Gemini and Apollo missions demonstrated in one way or another how important it is to have highly experienced pilots aboard to adapt to unforeseen circumstances.  Automation works fine when the mission does not depart from expectations.  Missions have a tendency to do that.
