No, I do not think that we will. It seems that we were too complacement going into the quarter final & because of a misguided rotation policy on the day DID NOT have the BEST players on the field. We had the wrong game plan as usual - wasting valuable time trying to go through the middle to get past an inpenetrable defence instead of skillfully playing the 'running game' to 'outwit them'.  -  aka South Africa

Just to qualify me to comment, I love the ABs and went to all the RWC games in France.

FACT: The ABs didn't win the RWC after being favourites for so long (near 90 odd % win record in 4 years) and being the most prepared RWC side in history.

What makes you think they can win under the normal extreme pressure of the public's expectations PLUS the added huge expectation to win it at home!

I blame the media and the ALL BLACK marketing machine. They inflate the expectations of the public with their opinions and huge ad campaigns. The ABs aren't super heros or rock stars. They play Rugby. That's all, and that's the way they should behave....as rugby players.

So no way!

(Although, I will come back home from the UK to attend games!)

i had great expectations for New Zealand in the 2007 Rugby world cup but i was dissapointed in the game against France. I still hope they will win the next world cup

If (when) we do, the British press will only say that the All Blacks can only win at home and therefore, the IRB will never allow NZ to host the RWC ever again.

how come so many people are blaming the rotation policy? the all blacks lost 5 max games over the last 4 years under the rotation policy how can you say it faild miserably? any other team in the world would be happy to have such a winning record and as for us winning the next world cup lets hope we continue our winning streak at home until then it will make it so much harder for any team to beat us as for robbie deans being coach u might aswell have asked the question will the crusaders win the next world cup?

Yes if Graham Henry is the coach. We have the best rugby players in the world and that ain't gonna change due to one lost to France in the quarter finals. If anything went wrong on the day it came down to the players. We need a captain that can read the game and enforce it on the field. All the players that played below par that day need to be dropped and force to fight for there positions again. With the talent out there a new Jonah Lomu or young Buck Shelford waiting to be discovered. Yeah the players need look at themselves...and having the next  World Cup here in New Zealand, who ever puts that All Black jersey will give it 110%...and as for ref  Barnes....its not his fault he missed all the penalties and forward pass and wrong decisions and always behind play cause he could not keep up...its the officials that gave him that responsibility. The game was to big for him cause of his lack in experience. Plus his a Wally!

I was convinced we would win the last one. Never seen an All Blacks team so prepared and convincing. All I can presume is, the next four years will see Robbie at the helm and the core of players still passionate about the black jersey.

Having said all that, I will always say yes to the AB's winning, cos in all honesty I believe they ARE the best in the world. And now we will have to keep beating everyone as we have for the last four years to get back to our mana.

On home turf, I cannot see us being beat! Just like this time.

If rotation is kept to a minimum, if 'reconditioning' is a thing of the past, if someone other than R. McCaw is Captain; YES.    Even with Graham Henry as coach.    Let's not forget that Jock Hobbs and some of his RFU board were all winking and blinking with the recent fiasco so when one goes they should as well.

They´ve choked every year after that and probably will again.

You should ask the Rugby Guru (address below.) He made this prediction in July 2007 about the AB's in his very good blog:

New Zealand will not be beaten in France (or so everyone seems to believe) which is exactly why it is so significant that the game I refer to will be played at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. Its the only World Cup game that does not take place in France and it's the game that will break New Zealand hearts. The kiwis are on a massive downward trend that's not going to be halted by the current crop of average players and even if its France or Argentina who end up facing the All Blacks in Cardiff - it will still signal the end of the road for Richie McCaw and his men."

Now if he got it this right In July 2007 maybe he gets it right in 2011.
